That secondary grip bar made my fingers numb the first we times I used mine but then it started to mold to my fingers and now it feels like a custom made glove. Perfectly molded to my fingers.

Winning gloves and Mizuno shoes are both special in the regard that they form to your body. Winning gloves get their due respect... but Mizuno shoes don't. Granted they are expensive, but there's a lot more to them than folds, cool colourways, and being incredibly light. Their most amazing feature in my opinion is a material that forms perfectly to your feet along with a sole that perfectly matches most any foot. The shoe is so well designed, the formed material attached to the sole make for a lightweight experience that is unrivaled by any other boot on the market. People tend to look at them and write them off as overpriced simple boxing shoes without trying them or they get them without having much experience with other boots. You may be wondering why I'm talking about Mizuno shoes in a discussion about Winning gloves. Well, I'm 99% sure Winning and Mizuno boxing shoes are under the same umbrella company.

I preferred the velcro versions. The lace up versions have so much wrist support it made it hard to make a fist as it compressed my forearm not letting it expand when I clenched my fist. The only glove that I felt was as ergonimic as these were the Flores. Not quite as protective but close. Memory Eternal Dan Mosby.

IMO, I think this latest version of Winning pro fight gloves are protective for a pro glove... but at the same time they're thin enough to definitely transfer power. They're not quite like the old Winning that were basically the same as the training gloves. Also, I've always gone laces but after trying Winning velcro, I have no problems with support at all. Amazing quality! Right now I'm trying to find out for sure that Winning fight shoes are made by Mizuno. I think I'll have to buy a pair to figure it out one day.

Carlo, I wanted to get your opinion on a new pair of ms-500s I got. I currently own 7 other pairs of Winning and a few more throughout the years. Everything about the glove is spot on... box, label, smell, profile, leather, liner, stitching, laces, grip bar... you name it... all EXCEPT the inside tag... instead of "MS-500"... it's replaced with a very well done, folded over, piece of material with the Winning logo and "Made in Japan" under it. This appears on both folds of the material... Have you ever heard of anything like this? I'd write the glove off as a fake if everything else wasn't absolutely flawless. The gloves came straight from Japan. Idk if this is a new thing Winning is doing or it's a Japanese thing only, or idk? Do you have any thoughts? It's the sb-9000 byonbyon ball tag btw.

Hey Carlos. Quick question here: Do you notice a speed increase when you go from 10oz to 8oz gloves?

The truth of the matter is with 2 oz is not a significant change in weight between gloves to really notice it.

@@m.israel2209 True. But it's not just a change of 2 oz but also 8 oz gloves tend to be more aerodynamic. I noticed a difference going from 16 oz to 12 oz or to 10 oz. Huge difference in my opinion. But maybe size wise they have the same surface area as 10 oz gloves? Not sure.

No. The velcro is similar to the old Winning... they have thicker, more protective padding. To be more concise, they have the same padding layers as the other training gloves. The new Winning pro fight gloves (laces) have thinner and less layers of padding.

I never cared for velcro but I had to use them in amateur bouts. But then, about 6 months ago, I found a barely used pair of MS-300B'S for about half price. I was hesitant, but they actually performed fantastic! Since I'm about to go into the "masters" division, I decided to get more 16oz gloves because that's all they use (velcro at that). I went with Winning velcro and I have no problems at all. Interestingly enough, I've seen Inoue train with velcro Winning. I've seen Terence Crawford use Everlast velcro for training as well.

@EasyMoneyGoat2 жыл бұрын
@@nb0616 I don’t know if you’re aware of this but almost anyone can turn pro without any amateur fights. There’s no amateur fight requirement. As long as you pass your physicals and you’ve been training, etc, you can apply for a boxing license. Obviously the barriers would be if you’ve been knocked out brutally multiple times, a boxing commission might revoke your license. But if you’re fresh and starting out, you can just turn pro.
@csquaredboxing2 жыл бұрын
Because I don’t have the mindset or commitment for it. The pro game is levels above what I do for my own training. It’s one thing to look good hitting mitts, the heavy bag, and doing reviews. To me, being a pro regardless for 1 fight or for 10 years means it’s your livelihood, you eat sleep breath it. No distractions. I have a family, full time job, and almost 40 years old. There’s no appeal to me at this point in my life. Amateur fights? Sure. Much less demanding, similar age, experience, etc.
