I will listen to the review again tomorrow and probably have another comment but, I have just finished a pair of the 3TDX with superior crossovers but not the uber expensive capacitor. I have build 7 of the CSS kits and have found that each represents amazing value. Especially as kits. My most recent build is the 1TDX with wave guide. I am in general agreement with your review. I do, however, find the bass very well defined and articulate provided you position them well away from walls. My main speakers are Magnepan 3.7i's and while I find they are assuredly more transparent, revealing and offer a massive soundstage there is something about the 3TDX's that captivates. I find that when I have them set up I forget about audio and just listen! Don't misunderstand, they do have resolution, definition and an amazing sense of space infall ways. There is just something that is captivatingly musical with them and I just deep dive into music and forget about audio! I use high end tube monos (185 watts) and they are more than adequate. Great review and thanks for sharing.

I'm just starting my 3TDX build. Did you make any modifications to the plans CSS provided online?

@ no I'm confident they know better than I. I did use Dynamat on the interior

@@flash4973 I used sonic barrier from parts express on the inside of my recent 1TDX wave guide build. The thickest, 1 1/4"

For heavier speakers I got a set of furniture sliders to make them far easier to move around.

Any reason why the sound sample was with the Pioneer Tad and not the 3TD-X ?

It was typo.

Can you also review Wharfedale AURA 2, the new Monitor Audio Gold 100 6G and Arendal Bookshelf 8 and compare them to Wharfedale ELYSIAN 2 and KEF R3 Meta?

Its probably just me but the distance from the tweeter and the top of the speaker just looks off and would bother the crap out of me.

What are your main tower speakers in your videos? Don’t see a name on them & have seen many of your videos without mention of them. Thank you!

I really like the finish. Looks strange with the tweeters so low and the midrange have the 2 edges cut off. Strange to price them the same price as jays version which looked like it would probably cost more to build and also to double the cost as a 2tdx. Maybe that makes the 2tdx a better deal now?
@kerryarmes2786Ай бұрын
The Typhons are made in China. These are made in the US. That’s why pricing on a finished version is the same.

@kerryarmes2786 well that does make sense thanks for the info

Je pense que l'IA va permettre de créer une reproduction du son quasi parfaite et bcp plus avancée que maintenant. Nos cerveaux sont conditionnés par ces formes de HP. Je pense que ça n'est pas la seule possibilité.
