In reality the CSS application will take you a couple of weeks to complete. Gathering all the information is time consuming AND some information is merely estimation/guessing of future values

NOT an hour. I spent 7 hrs yesterday & I’m not done yet. Pdf’ing statements, figuring out medical (many ppl have a lot of medical -it’s ableist to ignore that), some have to figure out SSDI (disabled) or beneficiary SSDI. Kid hasn’t decided ED or RD for school. CB said can’t enter that school until decided. We’re married filing jointly. I swear it asked for kid UTMA twice. Etc etc etc

Hi!! Although I'm not the creator of the video, I was on the same situation and managed to get a fee waiver! If I remember correctly, when you start inputting your/ your parents financial information and household size it automatically gives you a fee waiver based on the income. Besides from the system automatically waiving the application, I don't know of any other way a fee waiver can be obtained :// Hopefully this helped you a bit & wish you the best of lucks!! ✨

Ask your Guidance Counselor for a waiver. If you have low income it will just waive automatically once you get to the end. YES it should tell you this up front😞
