Heyo! My name is Rachel! I’m 17 years old and I applied to CSSSA’s animation program during my junior year in high school and got accepted! I thought I’d share just a little bit of my experience there through a sketchbook tour! I’ve never filmed a video like this for KZbin, so please excuse my awkwardness. I’m planning on applying to various art schools this coming school year, including CalArts. So, I’d appreciate all the support I can get! I go a trade school for free currently that has the adobe stuff payed for, it's good but trust me there are many many other substitutes that cost less and / or are free :3 !!

Beautiful Sketchbook & also funny how art schools always seem to hate an "anime" style. My teachers are hating on me because my drawing style is like cartoon x anime style...but I am not thinking about changing it tbh cause I am happy with my style atm. 😌I hope I can make my sketchbooks for school look more interesting and stop being scared over what is allowed and what isn't and just do anything in it. 💗

Ооооо чебурашка♡ ♡ ♡ This little one with big ears is character from russian cartoon ( actually it was made in USSR ). His name is Чебурашка ( Cheburashka )! I loved to watch this cartoon when I was a kid, great memories ♡

My college also had a room called the fishbowl! It was the editing room for the video students. We called it that because it was all glass and people kept staring in at the students. And the art classrooms all had windows on both the outer and hallway walls, so they were secondary fishbowls.

That’s very cool! I don’t remember the fishbowls at Calarts having any windows, but natural light from the roof lit one of the rooms.

I’m glad my colorfulness inspires you! 🌟 I find a lot of my Sanrio/Vocaloid stickers from Five Below-though, most of the time I simply print out designs I find on Pinterest or Google haha! I spend a lot of time cutting them out and laminating them with clear packing tape! Hope this helps!! 💕🌟
