Finally, we get to hear this detector with an actual defect. From what I remember this hotbox is pretty generic now, although don't the dispatchers use another town name now?

The current detector uses milepost instead of a town name. I'm not sure what dispatchers call it these days, but the town name of "Blanton" doesn't exist anywhere in this area and I'm not sure where they got that name from. I've only ever heard this area called Sandy Mush.

Was this the Voice on the SCL DD’s?

I don't know for sure. If I had to guess I would think that the SCL detectors probably used the voice that sounds like an old Speak 'N Spell.

I want to say this is the same SCL voice, but the CRR detectors gave the location name instead of milepost like the ones on SCL lines, but the voice sounds similar.
