Not gonna lie, this is my favorite railfan video at harpers ferry, especially the beginning with the EMDs meeting carrying mixed freight

Cool vid. Love the tele shots showing how uneven the rails are, and the spring-action of the cars as they bounce along. I wouldn't expect the rails on the high-speed lines in Europe, Japan, and China to be so uneven!

just watched another video where csx had a derailing in Harpers Ferry a couple days ago and tore up the walking bridge for the Appalachian Trail.could not happen to a nicer company.

Robert Rockwell couldn’t agree more, they’ll half Ass the repair, worked with them for 24 years, they don’t give a damn about history. Good thing it was empty Hopper cars and not full tankers of methyl ethyl death. I lived in HF 88-90, one of the most scenic places in the world.

Nice video. Crazy to think a lot of the power shown here is now retired, leasers or scrapped.

Not surprised they had a D rail there. Those rails look pretty wavy and worn out to me. At least the ones on the bridge area. That’s where I believe the De-rail happened.
@daviddowling98305 жыл бұрын
13Bull13 the derail was not on this track but a spur below this bridge.
