13:38 The reason why it's not going up is because of the grade that the track is at. ( which is a 7 precent grade) Most trains in real life with no cars on the locomotive wil start to have problems at a 4 precent grade, with loaded freight and/or passenger cars it would be a 3 precent grade that would have trouble to move a mile long freight train.

The reason why the UPBB couldn't go on the zig zag is because it's a 4-8-8-4, and also a duplex, which means 2 sets of drive wheels combined together

i suspect what stopped your trains sometimes is blocks poking out beyond the rails. some of the trains stopped extremely abruptly where there appeared to be cobble sticking out above the tracks

The first slope you did was way to steep for the engine to climb that's why you had trouble finding a decent locomotive that actually could because very few trains are built to go up slopes that steep
