Welcome back, everyone! You all asked for it, so here we are! Using the power of one of my favorite Minecraft 1.16.5 mods, you all saw this house used in both of my Non Euclidean Minecraft hide and seek videos! Today, after a lot of playtesting and bugfixing, I finally can provide you all with the map! In this video, Cloudfall and myself take you throughout the build, and tell you everything you need to know about the house, including what makes it a non Euclidean space, how the game runs, and more! I think this was the perfect amount of portal usage. Its subtle enough that you won't immediately figure out whats wrong, but it makes the space different enough that it will definitely effect gameplay depending on how you use it.

I wish that like somehow the portals don't always work, like sometimes you just go into the correct room (ie where the rooms physically are vs where the portals lead), would make running from a seeker more insane since they wouldn't know where you went right away

For the timer you could use a scoreboard and increase it's value with one command block constantly, this will make it increment by 20 per second or once per tick, you can then check what value the scoreboard is on and if it's past or equal to a certain value (200 for 10 seconds) and run some commands.

For the tunnels you can use a retextured wool block as flooring with a command block that tests for player on wool then have a coumt down if player is standing to long on the wool block then teleport in the middle of map and a command block with a title that says we got a camper, somthing like that might work and seems like allot of fun

Combining what other have said, my idea of preventing tunnel cheating is as such: Step 1: Pour water inside those tunnels. Water won't leak out as I remember water don't actually flow from submerged half block to another half block. So as long as the two ends of the tunnel is air gapped, water will be only inside that tunnel Step 2: Measure how long one can swim inside water tunnel until they suffocate. If a tunnel is too long, use portal to shorten it a bit.

A simple tunnel solution would be to potentially give the seeker the ability via a button at a certain part of the map to close the tunnels for just long enough that a hider would suffocate maybe?

8:45 kinda ruins the fun of having the tunnels, but if it becomes a problem one could just go down there and shorten them using portals. that way instead of having tunnels you have tiny cubbies with entrances and exits.

For the timer on the seeker command blocks, you should use a hopper timer! it's way more compact and much easier to control the time for delay

If u don't want ppl to camp in tunnels, a strategy I did was hod their family hostage and tell them to play a certain amount of round before their family gets shot

you technically can prevent people from hiding in the tunnels with commands by either having them take damage if they're in there for too long, or by teleporting them back out if they stay in their too long.

I think a zombie mode of this would be fun where the hiders are small and the starting zombie is big. The starting zombie can 1 hit the hiders and when the hiders die they get turned into small zombie that take multiple hits to kill the hiders. Then there is a time limit.

Some of the portals don't seem like they are meant to be "non-euclidean" like some just are "lol two rooms not where they physically should be but aren't crazy" like that kitchen and lounge almost just.. look too much like they are meant to be where the portals lead.. only when look closely is when you would notice something is off, the best was the room that was connecting upper and lower floors without having to go up any stairs, more of those could mess with anyone trying to think straightforward Ooooo imagine some of the tunnels hiders go through that from the outside lead to somewhere on the total opposite side of the map Nvm you had some like it.. but the ones you have are more convenience than strat Would be funny if there were one way portals that you can juke the seeker into using and they lose you I feel like the hiders should, if possible, be just put in random spots in the mansion so it's not always scatter from front foyer, and then can lower the seeker time stuck since like 60 seconds seems bit much if you aren't like on a call talking to people and stuff, just a minute of sitting there in silence not able to move.. just ideas from a guy who knows nothing on map making :P oh you had to manually do the timer of being stuck? okay then.. uhh.. nvm that seems like it would lot of reworking that stuff And now random theme ideas, bunker and.. i dunno, playground? Just trying to think of variety of things for like set pieces that are very different than like 7 variations of mansion/house OH OH... >.> dunno how much would actually be but hide and seek in a maze/backrooms XD

So I got a new pc this summer and I'm starting to play java edition more, when I tried to download the mods and world none of the portals were in. I realized I had to be on 1.16.4 so I installed a 1.16.4 version of fabric and Minecraft keeps saying "Sorry, unable to start Minecraft." Or something. Long story short how do I fix 1.16.4 fabric not loading. Or just how do I install worlds with mods working.

Do you run these mods on fabric or another launcher? I’ve tried to set up the pehkui mod but any time I try to use a portal the game crashes, idk if it’s the launcher or my game.

These mods do run on fabric, but only immersive portals has version for forge, hope that helps, you would most likely need fabric api.

Why don't you just make all the tiny tunnels into tiny portals between the connected locations so hiders can't abuse them? All in the same spots just eliminating the connecting space. Of course I suppose hiders can still technically abuse them by going back and forth between them when the seeker sees them on one side, but the abuse would be a lot more obvious as opposed to simply not knowing where they are.

you could also keep the "tunnel experience" by having the entrance of each tunnel connect to a vertical shaft that when you enter you fall down, which then exits at the other side of the tunnel. Since one way portals are a thing you could have the other side connect to a different vertical shaft so that the tunnels aren't one way as a result of this. I can't imagine it would be difficult and it would keep people from camping the tunnels, as soon as they enter they fall through to the other side.
