brings a tear to my eye knowing my father maybe was the conductor on that old LMX dash-840B when this engine was new working on the Burlington Northern.....CSXGirl822 keep recording and saving these videos.....your recording a time period were Dash-840Cs and Dash-840CWs are being retired at the CSX....your recording history.....in 30 years from now, some person is going to say "man I wish I could get footage of that"...….Keep up the great work! im more into your HO trains as im a model railroader, im not too much of a railfan but you are recording history....

Thanks man, the Dash 8 series are my favorite diesel locomotives of all time and I've tried my best to get both photos and videos of them before they're all gone. A lot of people choose not to shoot what they call "common power" because they think it'll be around always - but it won't. Once upon a time those Dash 8's were just as common as the Evolution Series out on the road today but now look. I always try to document anything that comes my way because today's "common" power is tomorrow's rare catch on a funeral train!

@@CSXGirl822you got it! I wish I coulda documented more of the Iowa Interstate and CCP...the GP10s and GP8s were so common on every freight train.....then what seemed to be over night.....they were all gone....keep up the great work!

HI ALL 9510: Your story is touching & amazing. What an honor to run the Dash 840 W & 840 Standard cabs. I wish ATHEARN would make them i have went on their Tuesday live stream but keep over looking it for the ACW series etc. Otherwise i 'm keeping maintenance on the ones from Bachmann. Atlas has a much better ones unfortunately never new of them or bought any. I 'm glad to read your story. Amazing hobby isn't it ?

I've still been around, just had a lot going on in my life to where I haven't been able to make KZbin a priority. There were a couple videos posted last year so I wasn't gone entirely.
