Medical jargon . . . ACH! One way to think about how the tumor has changed in size is to get the total approximate volume by multiplying all 3 of the dimensions together. So your older scan would have a tumor volume of 384.56 sq cm. and now it's 121.8 sq cm. Approximately--because it's not squared off, not looking like a perfect box, of course. So that's actually wonderful news!!I don't understand how they say that's unchanged, though. It's 2/3 smaller in approx. volume. The initials with the recent measurement --AP, TV, CC--are very helpful, and hopefully, the earlier measurements were in the same order. AP = anteroposterior = front to back, belly to spine TV = transverse = left to right or right to left, so across the body CC = craniocaudal = top to bottom, head to foot I hope that helps you understand what your tumor looks like. I think radiologists are posed to always report the dimensions in the same order, but it would have been nice if the earlier report specified which measurements were which! Remember, though, that a tumor is like a Play dough creation, (but nasty, of course). Very different dimensions depending on your view of it. Ask your doctor more about how they make sure the dimensions are comparable between scans. And . . . it is nice to see you have some color back and that fantastic sense of humor, too! I recently had a UTI, and it's a bitch without cancer. So I can only imagine what you're going through. ❤️ Wouldn't it be great of someone hacked into your tumor's wi-fi and disabled the effin router?!?!?! I'm gonna work on that!!!!

I'm so glad you are getting an oncologist that you feel more comfortable with. That relationship is so important. It sounds like there might be a fistula between your bowels and bladder forming. When I was in college a million years ago, I worked as a home health aide for a lady with colon cancer, and that happened to her. I hope your docs get this figured out soon and get it taken care of. First thought in my mind when I clicked on the video was "his color looks good". I don't mind telling you you were a bit grey there for a while. As far as your report goes - you have cancer. It has not changed a lot from the previous scan. Stable is good in the cancer world, especially as you have not been able to get treatment. It gives me great hope that as you get regular chemo, you can beat this thing back to where it leaves you alone. Hope you are able to eat a bit more. I know putting on weight would be awesome. The abdominal mass could be attached to or pulling on the bladder. Causing issues. It could be cancer or scar tissue. I'm going to hope that it is scar tissue. Be well friend. Glad to see you hydrating. 😊

Man, that neon sign is bad ass ! I'm glad that you're feeling alright. I have trouble reading those ct scans too. After having my kidney removed in May (stage 3 cancer), I went back for mine and it said "borderline nonspecific increased uptake within the left adrenal region. Attention to this region. I have to go next month for a contrast scan. I'm not sure but maybe it will be o.k. I hope you keep feeling alright ,Mike. I am sending good vibes, prayers and love your way. ❤🥀🌻

Mike, im going to my 2nd rheumatologist appointment in an hour. I accepted a vague diagnosis about 20 years ago from a neurologist as a wee young adult. But I finally decided to look for more answers because I'm so, so exhausted and in bed all the time. I see people with devastating injuries and illnesses doing more in a day than i can. Your videos have been an enormous motivator for me to get my ass up and figure things out. Now, its only my 2nd appointment and its to follow up on tests. But wouldn't you know, my test showed high levels of autoimmune antibodies. My issues are invisible and this is the first time in my life I have something that validates my struggle in an actual way. You've played a legit part in my motivation to find answers and deal with doctors. Thank you for giving me momentum to seek answers and to be kind to myself. P.s. sorry i totally watched your video and am glad you're not peeing blood anymore omg. Sorry for commenting only about myself on YOUR important update video 😅

Hi Mike good to hear from you. I am like you , when my husband has his CT scans I google every single word I don’t understand. Whenever I have asked his oncologist questions they are so flippant and say oh it could be different from a previous one because a different technician did the report. Our medical staff in Canada are useless. He literally comes in to see my husband for maximum of 5 minutes once a month before his immunotherapy. I always ask questions - they dont like that we have knowledge Last month when “I “ suggested a particular medication I think he should be taking, if looks could kill!!!! His response was “ oh you know about that”. I said yes I do and I research everything. He said oh yes I can write a prescription for that. Total ass . This is the guy who when my husband was first diagnosed said “just to let you know 50% of these cancers return. How nice, what’s wrong with saying “we are going to do everything we can for you.” Lost all faith in hospital care.

Knowledge is Power. When my husband was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer (which is rare and we had never heard of it) I found a couple of Facebook Groups which are specifically for this cancer. The knowledge I have now from reading and chatting to many people all over the world has helped us both so much. I too will keep asking those questions. 😊

Tethering is where it’s joined by something, think of a dog on a lead, tied to a tree. The tether is the lead connecting the two. Thethering. So something is connecting the two. ❤

There is multiple calices(many calyx) in each kidney. The stone is blocking one of these calices, but it is not obstructing the overall urine coming out of the kidney into the ureter which is the tube that carries the urine from the kidney to the bladder 😊

Kia Ora Mike..I have just come across this video as I scroll through YT. Regarding Medical Reports - my husband has just been diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer and his primary is in the mesentary. After his operation we were reading his Op Notes from the surgeon and he said that they had removed his appendix which was new information for us! We had already had one post op appointment and nobody had told him!! I had to ask them! lol 😂. Good luck from NEW ZEALAND 🇳🇿

Just recently got to catch up on your last few videos . Is sad that again you are dealing with another infection . Hope youd fight it off easy and after that, i hope for you to get some of your energy back . I remember when i first started watching your videos i had this thought that your biggest problem for the future gonna be infections not the tumor . Didn't really wrote it down because was just instinct, and i was not sure if i was really right about it . Sadly seems i was . I doubt i need to write it now, but just be careful man , dont tank any weird symptoms , if something is wrong go and check it out especially if it gives you any pain . Also while id say the chemo keep your tumor from growing , it just feels like it change shapes , but stay around the same size .
