Do you have to angulate the gantry? For a Brain CT

Several things to correct. 1. No one undresses the patient for a skull study. 2. The patient is centered low in height, as can be seen when planning. 3. In order to avoid reducing cuts and artifacts, neck flexion is important. 4. Better to acquire in axial mode, to reduce over ranging.

Thanks for your feedback! We'll address each one of your points, in turn. 1. Absolutely, however we did not specify that the patient should or must be undressed. A patient may be hospitalized and for that reason, wearing a gown. 2. The patient is centered low in height, as can be seen when planning. The positioning of the patient at the beginning of the video is accurate and that patient was an actor; however, in the actual case the patient had difficulty and the rad techs had to adapt to the best possible positioning. 3. Here, our second answer applies, as well. 4. Usually we're using spiral mode with a reduced pitch (< 1) in order to multiply the projections which improves Signal/Noise ratio. Thanks again for your feedback!
