Ct100U air filter replacement/upgrade and carb jet drill

In this episode we are replacing/upgrading this mini bike by putting on an aftermarket air filter, air filter adapter, and new studs but also drilling out the carb jet

Got 41mph completely stock besides simple gov bypass (w/o taking engine apart) and throttle stop taken off.

How did you get the studs off?? I have the same engine and same filter for it. I got the carb off but idk on the studs. Idk how to get them off. Also what did you do with the extra hoses? Thanks

I used vice grips but you can use pliers or use the two nut method thread one nut on and then the another on and tighten the two to each other and loosen the stud with the second nut but sometimes this doesn’t work and you have to use pliers or vice grips or weld a nut on the end and loosen it that way

Do you leave the vacuum hose thats connected to the valve cover or do you connect it somewhere else

I took the short end and shoved it in and left the long end down

Where do you drill out the jet?

I put the carb in a soft jaw vice and used a drill

Those are my dads drill bits that he got a long time ago and he can’t remember

Mabey get a more precise drill bit set than what I had because mine was alittle to rich with no straight pipe but If you can’t still do what I did because it helped a lot

@@KardogGarage yeah my engine on that thing has probably 600 miles in it ever since i bypassed the governor so i feel like it’s gonna let go sometime soon so if that happens i’m just gonna swap it with a predator 212

Throttle screw is gone? mine hit 37 im 150 lbs was thinking a air filter would add speed

Well what mini bike do you have mine is a smaller mini bike with less horsepower so mine won’t go as fast I have a CT100U not a mini bike with more displacement and power An air filter and carb jet will get you more power and top speed by putting more air and fuel into the engine
