Music: Antigone - Joris Voorn
This video was recorded during my trip to Chicago. The CTA Blue Line is a major subway line in a mirrored "C" shape that connects up the O'Hare Airport, the downtown loop district, and the riverwalk. With a total length of 26.93 miles and 33 stations, the current operation pattern this line was formed earliest in 1993 after several modfication from former-constructed tunnels and elevated rails.
The scenes were recorded on a Alstom 2800s-series (leaded) train car made in 1981-1987, while the middle cars are 3200s-series made by Morrison-Knudsen in 1992-1994. On the day the video is recorded, a few CRRC 7000s-series trains were seen in the Rosemont Yard but not in service.
The faces of the CTA staffs are not included in this video. While the scene were great, a huge drawback of this line was the speed limit of approximately 5mph in some sections, no knowing if it because of the weather or so.
Thanks for watching!
