Literally lived in an upstairs apartment across the street from the Halsted stop (behind Hammerhead tattoo) in my first true apartment living on my own. My fiancee and I had many memories there. The orange line will always hold a special place in my heart.

all orange line trains should have 8 car trains and run 24 hours and the yellow line should have 4 car trains
@rch1jr9 жыл бұрын
That's the same thing I said That way every side of the city north northwest west southwest and south would have 24 hour rail service The blue line runs to ohare 24 hours so why don't they have the orange line run to midway 24 hours
@MrDgon236 жыл бұрын
Yellow line only needs 4 cars for Cubs games, most of the time 2 cars is too much
@matei59295 жыл бұрын
Then they'll need to run the Brown Line 24 hours so they have a 24 hour counter-clockwise loop and would cost too much.
@blueaxlotlcuzblue23634 жыл бұрын
Yellow line trains only have 2 to 3 stations so they don’t need that much cars

The first train was a special trip using the 6000 series cars. Unfortunatly, camcorders were pretty primitive at the time.

At 3:47 why is the stations in downtown so close I been in the train before but why?
@Luke_Starkenburg8 жыл бұрын
Nice video! At 5:27 I'm curious why the train makes a brief stop in the middle of the line? Can you please explain this strange stop? Thanks.
@ThePhoenix10256 жыл бұрын
More than likely the Operator received an audible alarm. The operator must place the train in a braking position until the alarm stops, the alarm sometimes will not subside until you’ve brought your train to a complete stop.

Or a red cab signal that usually clears within 30 seconds
@rileycoyote49242 жыл бұрын
Seeing that the train passed a signal shortly before, the operator more than likely got a penalty brake application from the CTC cab signalling system, likely due to passing a more restrictive signal aspect.

I think the orange pink and brown lines should be circular

I kinda getcar-- i mean Train sick because of the curves 35th/Archer - Pulaski
@midwestaarron3 жыл бұрын
If you've ever come to Chicago you'd realize that the 4-5 blocks take a good amount of time to walk. So a short jaunt between stations isn't too bad. Unless it's the red line. Then you're screwed lol
