CTE Aiming, Pivots and Other Stuff

Another video show CTE Pivoting along with Ghost Ball, Pivoting and my style, a CTE-90/90 version. This recently edited version shows various shots utilizing these aiming techniques and hopefully can bring more focus to the CTE aiming debate. Welcome any feedback or questions. Only can see the contact point, explain how you align the cue ball to the contact point of the OB by making a guide with laser light…

Please watch this and other video's to get an understanding of CTE. It's NOT easy to pick it up with video's . You must be able to try and use the basic principles to check it out on a real table. It is extremely difficult if your a beginner , but doable. It took me several months just to comprehend anything.

When you say edge of the cue ball, do you mean that the you are really (a) targeting the edge such that the center tip of the cue stick targets the edge of the CB, (b) you are using the same OB reference so you target 1/4 of the cue ball or (c) the left edge of the cue tip is align with the left edge of the CB (same story on the right side)?

If your going for a right cut on the OB, on a manual pivot your placing your cue on the right edge of the CB toward left edge of the OB. Pivot to CCB and shoot.

please elaborate what " fixed 2 lines" is in CTE

2 fixed lines in CTE is LINE 1> FROM CENTER OF THE CUE BALL TO EITHER THE LEFT OR RIGHT "EDGE" OF THE OBJECT BALL.and LINE 2> FROM EITHER THE LEFT OR RIGHT "EDGE" OF THE CUE BALL TO EITHER THE 1/8, A, B, or C POINTS ON THE OBJECT BALL. Your perception of both lines are done at the same time you are looking on the shot before you get down and pivot. (Whether this is right or wrong you have to practice it and find what is comfortable for you.)

Check out other video's by me......CTE Finally Explained. Basically the OB is divided by 3 aim-lines , 15, 30 and 45 degrees. Depending on the angle you aiming at one of these aim-lines and the pivoting to CCB. On the first shot (13 Ball) you aiming at 15 degrees(A) from Left Edge CB (this is one line) and the other is CB to Right Edge OB(second line). Pivot to CCB and shoot.
