@@thewednesday5893 see the thing is, I don't know how they'd even add Azathoth. In his lore, he literally is dreaming up existence or something along those lines. He's also this giant thing of tentacles that doesn't really have a coherent form, so I definitely don't think they'll add Azathoth, and for that matter I think Cthulhu will be the only. I say that because Cthulhu is definitely the most popular thing to ever come out of Lovecraft's work and you could say a decent amount of people have heard the name. The others, however, not so much. Walk up to someone and ask then if they know who Cthulhu is they'd probably say I've heard the name/yes but ask them who Azathoth or Nyarlathotep they most likely won't know who that is. All in all, I think Cthulhu will be the only Old One Edit: forgot to add: what would Azathoth's abilities even be. Same goes for the other old ones. I feel like Cthulhu's abilities are kind of a stretch because Cthulhu's actual abilities are unknown (same with the other old ones)

Sup Intersect! I was doing some theorycrafting yesterday based on the Vod and patch notes and here what I noticed: While his base kit with ultimate is strong his early game is lacking heavily. Insane cooldowns and really only slows in his base until he ults or the fear after you stack your torment. I’m thinking you rush cool down (shoes of focus into breastplate of valor or gengi’s guard) I think he’s mid to late game so it would be optimal for junglers to gank him early or other supports pressure him out as much as possible. Due to a lot of damage mitigation, you could go into more damaging options easily like Mystical Mail and Void Stone without sacrificing mitigation. He’s seems like a god that could pair well with a Skadi, Neith, or Cernunnos to help him farm early and do well to set up his damage in lane and in team fights.

I do feel Cthulhu will excel in team fight scenarios so taking advantage of him in lane phase will be key to keeping this god from spiraling out of control.

@@elsycl indeed, hes going to be a horrible tank to go against. Massive AOE clear, Massive damage mitigation, And one of the most powerful team fight ults I've seen. Since hes targetable and his HP pool is so big you could literally ult on any OBJ and tank it while damaging and shredding the protections anyone trying to defend that OBJ. Its absolutely busted from what I see.

Cthulu's ult reminds me a lot of Fafnir. Obviously there are differences, but the ultimate is a high damage potential ult used for tunnelling and one ability utilized for supporting your carry.

I think they might have to nerf his passive, the duration of it at least. 25 seconds of insanity is pretty insane, and you can kinda always have 4 stacks of torment up. In a 1v1 his 1 is going to instantly give him 2 stacks plus a third auto and his 3 giving him 4 stacks and insanity. with cdr and late game with his 1 fully stacked, you can essentially have someone have insanity all the time.

Best guardian in the game I'll bet, I wouldnt be surprised if they nerf his mitigation as with the addition of that insane base hp with no items its gonna be too much Theory crafting, asceplius, gem of iso will be good, extra hp and utility with cc reduction IF his 3 in his ult procs this then shield of regrowth will be great, genjis for the mp5 and and the 3 sec off abilities when taking magical damage will be nuts Then combine them with spirit robe and either mantle or contagion I think you'll have a very tanky bruiser guardian with plenty of mp5, very short cd and great sustainability, you could even forego mantle or contagion for mail of renewal you're feeling like it, the hp on assist will be potentially just as good as having a defense item in that slot I cant wait to test it on pts

I am 90% sure he can Solo fj when it spawns if you played him solo. I played a fair bit of solo lane to know that when fj spawns you should be around level 11. Assuming you are playing Chuthulu with 20% Cdr and blue buff with 2 points in the ult Since Fj's damage debuff doesn't affect Cc immunity and also is momentarily cleansed by Cc immunity Fj will have only 50 magical protections when it spawns with 7000-7275 health So uh i am 90% sure you can solo Fj with this god using your kit the ulting and spamming the 1. Warriors blessing + Tank boots and charon's coin.

Probably, but you are not gonna be do it in secret. A. He becomes MASSIVE so enemey solo and most likely enemy mid will easily spot you. B. The sky goes dark when you use your ult, so everyone will instantly know what's going on. But i do think it's a cool idea

In PTS, his 3 does double damage. Another thing to note is to basically treat him like Artio. He wants to fight. His damage isn't too crazy but he applies a lot of effects, so stone of binding is likely a good play on him. Gem of isolation and E staff are also fair on him. Nothing about him seems too crazy. Laning phase is pretty lackluster his team fight is phenomenal.

I think it would be cool if anyone would partake in an idea I had for awhile. Well I feel like smite should add a “Legends” pantheon to smite. Meaning they should remove the Arthurian pantheon and add them into legends. Legends could have, you guessed it, legends from throughout the world. That way characters such as Robin Hood could be a good addition without having to add unnecessary pantheons and people would stop bitching about Robin Hood not being a god. Other legends could include Vlad tepes or famously known as Dracula they can add the rest of the knights of the round table they can add charlamgne and his paladins. They can add Frankenstein and Jack the Ripper they can add Jekyll and Hyde. I think a legends pantheon would bring in the folklore aspect to smite that Arthur and Merlin were based on. And yes I do use the fate series when I decided on this idea with my friends. If so please pass along others and maybe just maybe it can happen

it looks like nzoth from the ny alotha raid in world of Warcraft with all the eyes and tentacles the whole point of that boss is to make you lose sanity so he gains control that sanity break is similar to nzoths ability also called sanity break (or something along those lines) with is an aoe spherical attack that goes all around nzoth again making people lose a little sanity the mire is something nzoth does too it isn't called that but its these weird lumps on the floor which if you don't destroy increase in size and slow damage and make you lose sanity so overall a really cool looking god that defiantly seems like Cthulhu and reminds me of nzoth looks cool to.

Cthulhu is actually considered a god by legal means, as the lovecraftian church is recognised by the federal government. Funny enough, he is more of a god than most the others in America because most of the others dont fall into religions recognised by our government. You are correct in saying "sorta" a god as he is a great old one who existed long before any other beings and is far more powerful than anything we can fathom. In fact, a part of his lore should be that he can never be beaten and simply gets banished instead. Sorry I am a lovecraft nerd.
