I heard the Lord Jesus audibly next to me at a prayer group saying He wanted me to praise His name out loud, I said Lord I'm afraid of looking stupid and He said, I looked stupid for you in Jerusalem, that was 30 years ago, I came back to the Catholic faith after that and go daily to Mass and pray the rosary daily and praise His name out loud daily, praise be to God.

Yes, there is no more important love that we can have is the love of God and Jesus. I am a Child of God and Chosen by Jesus and our Lord. I know God and Jesus love me and I love them more than anybody. I thank them daily for their blessings and for healing me of a 25-year-long, painful chronic illness! In the book of Job, there is no answer to the suffering, but the answer God gives is Himself. God only allows suffering because He knows it is for our good. There are somethings that can only be revealed by pain and suffering, and God allows it because He wants to share with us His heart, and to show us our own hearts, our own identities. Let peace be with you, for God is always faithful, and is allowing this out of His perfect love. :)

I needed this lots. The last year I've been getting heavy back into the church and praying daily and reading the Bible. This last few weeks the devil has been gnawing at my ear, telling me I am unworthy of Christ's love, that I am evil, never going to get into heaven. He keeps telling me MY sins are unforgivable, so why bother trying to be holy. I'm doing my best to keep my eyes in Christ, I want to walk on the water but quite often I feel like Peter drowning. Or worse I feel like Judas, the betrayer.

I feel the same way often. A priest told me in confession: The advesary doesn't want you to be happy in God's love. If you are on a good way, he needs to attack. - What helps me is the Fatima Prayer, roughly translated "Oh, my Lord Jesus, forgive us our sind, save us from hellfire, guide all souls to heaven, especially those you need your charity the most. - on my worst day I remember that he wants to save everyone... even me. Hi, Fr. Columba! Thank you so much for this message. May God Bless you richly. I have been doing the LOH every day along with my rosary too, I have noticed with every prayer I am given enough measure of grace until the next one, I am sustained. The longest stretch from the midafternoon to evening prayer is when I start to run low and desire more prayer so I may say extra ones to help me. While I was just praying, I realized many people don't pray because of a feeling like not being motivated or distracted, it is at those moments we need to pray the most because the devil is trying to prevent us from doing it.

I just saw your video the other day about Muslims who were coming to Christ because they were seeing him in their dreams, and I just wanted to share something that it made me remember. There's a book by the late Nabeel Qureshi called, "Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus" and part of what eventually tipped him over the edge into becoming a Christian was a series of dreams and visions. Now this wasn't the only thing, he spent multiple years debating and doing heavy research on his faith, these were just something that I think is especially interesting regarding this topic. In his first vision, he saw a field of crosses, but dismissed it because it seemed almost too obvious, and that it might be a trick of the mind, that he secretly wanted to be a Christian, and that it was a bit of wish fulfillment. Then he had one that was very symbolic that he used a book on dream interpretation from a Muslim author, and wound up interpreting as his friend leading him to Christianity which was truth. The second dream, which I saw him share the most in talks, was a dream where there was a narrow door in to a wedding feast and his Christian friend was there, blocking the way to the feast, letting him know that he couldn't enter until he accepted the invitation. After waking up, he called his friend and the friend told him to read Luke 13, which Nabeel hadn't read before. The final one was him sitting in a building above an Imam on a stairwell leading him out of the mosque. One of the things Nabeel talked about was how a lot of Muslims believe that the way God speaks to us is through dreams, and that several seemingly prophetic dreams had happened in his life. For example, his mother had a dream that she planted four seeds, two sprouted, and two didn't. Someone told the mom that it meant that she'd have four pregnancies, two that would be born healthy, and two would be miscarriages. Its an interesting idea, though obviously we won't know why in this life, but if Christ chose to personally come to convert Muslims in that matter, it would make a kind of sense.

We suffer through life because of the gift of free will, but also through the consequences of original sin. We at times don't see the consequences of our actions, oftentimes not thinking it will impact another person's life immediately, but it does subsequently. Whether by yelling at someone, or not helping when they're in distress. These little things escalate to bigger things. It's because we don't contemplate our actions, our "sinful" nature, and at times are flippant about it (I am very guilty of it); that we take the Lord's message for granted, which ultimately leads to larger consequences, such as the Holocaust and other significant tragedies within our control. I would even argue now, in the US, we are divided, when we need not be. We are bombarded with political discussions EVERYWHERE, and all it does is divide us even more, when we are, for the most part, good people who oftentimes do bad things, but when it builds up, we forget the goodness that is inherent in us, and is not what the Lord has in mind for us, thus the tragedy of Adam and Eve, and the redemptive power of Christ. It's because of this bombardment of "news," of an us versus them narrative, which I firmly believe will lead good people, like you and I, to eventually "buy" into it, and lead us to travesty, like the Holocaust. Even in that tragedy, God was present. Look up Father Maximilian Kolbe. It is the story of our fall, even today, and how the Lord has throughout the ages, has called us over and over again to change our ways, and come home to Him. It ultimately leads to a simple question: Are we doing the things that the Lord has taught us, or are we doing things that we think are true, that are part of conventional wisdom? Sorry brother, for being long winded. Your point deserves an explanation, and you are most definitely not the first to share that sentiment. I hope it may offer insight. My original thanks for this video is due to the difficulties of following the Lord, and how the strong temptation to give up on the faith is always present, but, if you take the time to listen, the Lord does answer your prayers. For me, it hasn't been direct, like a conversation you and I are having, but indirectly, whether it be by just randomly deciding to watch this video or others, and the content resonates and answers my thoughts/prayers. @@brianruane8505 God allows evils to happen, even though I totally get it’s emotionally hard to understand, because he gave us free wills. God didn’t cause the Holocaust, humans did. God suffered through the Holocaust too, he wasn’t indifferent. He suffered. And for those people who suffer he always brings about some greater good from it, even though we might not immediately see or understand it.
