CTS Installation tutorial (forks)

I was honestly surprised how big of a difference the CTS valves make in ride feel. Currently running the blue one for trail rides. I just love the way that one soaks up high speed chatter like a coil but feels supportive and poppy through berms and big hits.

I want to try the blue one or the orange one. Nice to hear that the blue one is a good choice. I just still can't justify the 45+ euros to buy a tool I'll use just once or twice. I got the fork in a prebuilt biek, so I have to get the tool aftermarket. The system is just wonderful and very nice for people who want to experiment, but still, 50 euros for a very very very specific tool seems like a waste.

You might be able to find a shop that has one. It's pretty nice to be able to switch up your fork tune in 10 minutes but I honestly haven't changed valves for months now. I installed the violet cts and I love it. it's got more support in berms than the blue but soaks up big hits way better. Not as supple on the trail chatter but I just lowered my tire pressure to compensate

@@stephenkohler3472 even if I live in freakin Italy, no shop probably has it. It's not that common even here, everybody has the usual fox or rs. Violet huh? I gotta include it in my considerations now eheh

@nasalmirror Formula just released the violet colored cts this summer. I'm thinking your local bike shop would be willing to buy the tool just to have. That's a tiny amount of money in their tool budget, and they tend to want every tool in the known universe.

What about for coil forks?

I did the same thing and while I try to unscrew, the whole platform turn ! I already broke one of the 4 leg of the CTS tool !

will you need to add some extra oil if you try different cts units and every time it leaks some oil? Is there a chance or danger of having not enough oil in the damping circuit?

@@lennart3876 you have to refill just a few drips of oil which is part of the delivery. So, no problem.
