@@ilbobisss thanks for watching! No they changed this a few years ago - typically the only restaurants that require reservations are the teppanyaki show cooking places. Every other restaurant, you just show up and if it’s really busy, they’ll give you a pager and buzz you when a table is free.

Me and hubby went here in May. It was a perfect midsize resort. We booked Elite Club got some nice gifts and exclusive areas for elite guests.

Hi Shameka! I'm glad you enjoyed it - apparently the colors of the resort are the new version of what they're going to be using for all remodels/reno's going forward so I'm curious to see what it looks like.

Really want to stay here but for 3 adults cant find out if the sofa pulls out to a 3rd bed??? 😢

Hi Robin! According to the resort fact sheet, none of the rooms have sofa beds and ALL of the rooms have king beds. So if you want a 3rd in the room, you would need to request an extra bed. It'll make the room quite tight, space-wise, but the extra bed will be a proper single bed, if it's like the ones I've seen at other Riu's. You may want to call the front desk to inquire (I would avoid calling between 11-noon and 2-3, as this is check out /in time and they'll be crazy busy and less patient with answering questions). @ChristineTurner they said they can't guarantee a roll out so can't chance it sadly coz sounds like great place all around!

Oh bummer! Well you really do need to have that option guaranteed, don't you? I mean, 3 in a bed isn't going to be comfortable at all! Maybe things will change - they only just opened up the resort to the Canadian market so perhaps things like a guaranteed rollaway are part of the future plan as well.

Great hotel. I stayed there last year and did elite club. The special pool I didn’t see. I went to Las americas for lunch and beach.

Hi Kam! Oh nice! They all seem to do their own thing but when I stayed at Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas and Riu Palace Baja California a few months ago, they said that we could dine at the other resorts for all meals - just not the a la carte restaurants, but if you preferred the buffet at one of the other resorts for breakfast or dinner, it was an option. I'm curious to see if they're doing the same thing in Cancun...

Hey Mark! How are you!? I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm hoping to visit Kukulkan soon but it might just be a day pass to see what it's like. I think I would have enjoyed upgrading at the Riu in Cabo earlier this year - I do enjoy private lounges etc. The one here in Aruba (Riu Palace Antillas) is even going to have an Elite Club pool and it sounds like the private restaurant will be open for breakfast lunch and dinner!.

@@ChristineTurner As an American, I'm glad, too. I love the Canadians, the Brits, and indeed folks from all over the planet. We're hoping to check out this property soon, and I'm really looking forward to it. I've watched several videos, and it sounds like we made a good choice with this property.

What’s the dinner dress code ?

Hi Chris! The buffet is casual but no sleeveless tops. All of the other a la carte restaurants require collared shirts for men and no flip flops. Dress shorts are allowed - no long pants required!!
