you can ask for a "charge-back" within 30 days of your statement being issued if WestJet fails to honor your ticket or does not issue a timely refund. They are supposed to book you on a competitors flight if they cant provide the service themselves.

Don't travel unless you're willing to risk interruptions period. Also, you can blame WestJet or the union, but the union started it... and of course, it is NOT coincidental that it happened during a busy travel period. Yes, they have the right to strike but this is the consequence so everyone needs to just go with the flow otherwise do not travel next time or illogically use another airline because you think it won't happen to another airline LOL Also, do NOT complain if prices goes - and if you illogically believe cutting top management pay is going to cover all of the mechanics' demands, you need to take Business 101 LOL
