We have not seen an increase in providers signing on here at all. Annapolis Valley providers seem to have a real problem with this program.

Same here. Seems like the Nova Scotia Dental Association doesn't want their membership to sign up. So I have an insurance card which is completely useless.

I did a quick google search and found 3 dentists part of the program.

I have used the dental program and I think it’s fantastic ❤❤🎉🎉 I did extraction of one tooth, one filling, had to rebuild my partial denture because of the tooth extraction, and cleaning and all was paid for by the insurance.

To qualify for the CDCP, you must meet all 4 of these requirements: You don’t have access to dental insurance, Your adjusted family net income is less than $90,000, You’re a Canadian resident for tax purposes. You filed your tax return for the previous year.

One possible issue I can foresee is that some cheap companies may scrap their dental plans and tell employees the government can take care of that. Of course, this is more likely happen in low paying industries such as retail and hospitality. Have you thought about that?

Our leaders need wisdom, they need the strength to resist lobbyists, they need to know how to balance a budget, and they need to have a vision of a debt free and prosperous country. There are ways to avoid dentists altogether, there are also ways to prevent overuse and abuse of the health system. Prevention, healthy habits and lifestyle could very much unburden the health care system and consequently reduce its cost. It is greatly irresponsible to keep indebting our country and reducing the quality of life of our present and future generations. A solid and clear vision that brings our country out of the mess it is in should be what gets politicians elected, not political candies.
