Holding interest rates will only prolong or add to inflation and lengthen recession duration. Do you buy a new car every year or 2? If not then you don't need to worry until 2040 or 2045 because they aren't eliminating all gas vehicles. they are just stopping the sale of them by 2035. So if you buy a new car in 2034 (10 years from now) you can keep it until it dies and you don't have to go electric for the next 2 decades.
