Awesome hunt MT.That old silver looked amazing.Congrats..Im new with the CTX myself..is the discrimination the main key to finding goodies with the CTX..im using mine at the beach an can be a lil confusing outthere with the settings

Thanks D! It is a FABULOUS machine, but it takes time to get in tune with it, just like any other. BE PATIENT! I did NOT get to be a very good CTX operator overnight, gotta walk before you run! If you are going into the saltwater or you’re going to be hunting a saltwater beach, I am actually going to be of very little help. I do NOT EVER hunt any kind of water, unless it’s raining…😆 That being the case, from what I understand about beach and water hunting, I don’t think you want to discriminate ANYTHING. You might want to look for videos about beach and water specifically to get an idea of what other top hunters are doing. SO many small gold objects read SO low on the scale that I believe most people run wide open discrimination. Because I’m strictly a COIN hunter, I can run ALOT of disc and get away with it….at the beach, you can’t. Sorry I can’t be of more help with your situation but just progress slowly and build on yesterday. The CTX is THE most incredible machine I’ve seen yet, especially for what I do. @@wizardsofwisconsin7400 Every time I try to use the gopro it has issues. I don't even get to the recording part. Last time it was SD card error. On recovery calls I mess with it for 5 minutes then give up. I have to put finding the ring first priority. Hopefully it will work without any issues tomorrow.
