Cub Cadet Series 2000 Model 2164 PTO Belt Replacement

Scott replaces a PTO belt that disintegrated on a Cub Cadet Series 2000 Model 2164 lawn tractor.

@@scootershomegarage5506 lol in all seriousness I successfully replaced the belt yesterday thanks to this video. I was very pleased with how easy the replacement was. I looked at a handful of videos before I saw this one and the other videos wanted to take the deck off or tilt the entire mower vertically or on its side. None of them were wearing crocs though so that should have been a red flag from the get go. 😂 cheers

I have a question. where the belt goes from the front two pulleys to the back, does the belt go around or through the front support brace for the deck? I hope to hear back from you. Thanks for the video!

My 2166 is going through belts like crazy, does anyone know what the adjustment is with those two bolts in the front? My guess is I need to raise the deck up a bit with those to change the angle or something.

my 2166 just shredded the pto belt yesterday

@@knightimusprime25 I've given up mowing with mine. It was shredding belts, not the PTO doesn't engage. Someday I'll take a look at it. I have a lot of projects going on.

@@knightimusprime25 Mine was doing about 2 or so a year, so I stopped mowing with it. The tractor isn't worth that much. I have another cub 2554 and 2 Craftsman PYT9000s.
