I have the CC30E 30" and I love it so far, cuts my time down so much and no gas and oil. I liked it so much I got all electric yard tools now lol.

I have the same model. I do get some weird error codes sometimes, but they are kind of intermittent. Had one code that needed to be sent in for service (bad battery cell). Service was good and no charge unless you need them to pick it up. Otherwise, it cuts pretty nice, very quiet too. I think the heavier blade you tried might be overtaxing the motors &/or not getting them up to speed. Kind of hard to clean though, since you can't use water. I hoist mine up to 45 degrees or so with a strap around the bumper & blow it out with a compressor. That way I never have to take the deck off to clean it. You might need a stick or brush for tough spots. Good luck!

Yes, I Agee on the blade weight. There is probably a speed controller on the motor that forces it stopped spin faster, and when you increase the mass there is probably some exponential increase in power need. I would easily recommend the cub cadet for a flat lawn with less weeds. It is great. I did have a motor problem after 70 hours that required a new motor. I hauled this into the shop (Lanier Outdoor Equipment in Lawrenceville) and they had it repaired and ready to go in less than 24 hours! I highly recommend that you check out Lanier for your outdoor equipment needs, this was excellent service!

If that battery goes bad after about five years I sure wouldn't want to pay for it I'm sure it would cost more than an engine replacement

The built in battery on the Cub Cadet is a drawback to this model compared to other brands with removable batteries. It is a gamble on what the lifespan will be for the battery and will there be lower cost replacements in five years? We don't know yet.

I'm surprised you don't get a fabricated deck with the cost of that mower. Maybe it has to do with the weight difference which puts more load on the battery. My XT1 gas powered 24hp is really loud. I wear ear plugs plus hearing protection ear muffs. The mower shown in this video is loud enough I would wear hearing protection.

I think a stamped deck is adequate for this mower because it is more a light duty grass only mower. A zero turn with a 54 or 60 inch deck that is going into the rough stuff would benefit from a fabricated deck. Ear protection could be a good choice, I agree.
