hahaha, you should go inside the Havana neighborhoods to see the endless piles of thrash because they (the communist government) can't even maintain a functioning garbage collection service.. make no mistake, you're watching the areas that they maintain because that's where tourist travel through. I am Cuban and even 20 years ago before I came to the US, there were parts of Havana that looked like a garbage dump.

I made this trip from VRA to HAV and it was beautiful. Cuba is a beautiful island with the nicest people I’ve ever met.

Correction, the drive starts in Matanzas in the video not Varadero. At 1:29 there's a sign saying Havana 97 km, but Varadero is about 140 km to Havana. And the ocean is on the right side, but on the highway in Varadero heading to Havana the ocean is on the left. 2:30 there we go, "Matanzas, every day more productive"
