So refreshing to hear someone finally speak from their heart with such unrestrained emotion and love for one’s family and co-workers in a totally unrehearsed manner compared to those stiff long-winded speeches read from a piece of paper.

I think it's to Oscars disgrace that within 30 secs of Cuba beginning his speech the music cuts in trying to drown him out and move him on like some lowlife. It actually led to one of the most memorable and unforgettable acceptance speeches in the history of the Oscars.

OMG!!! Alec Baldwin is so handsome!!! That was one of the most memorable acceptance speeches ever. That was the first year that they decided to really use the cue music to strictly enforce the speech time for each winner because people were complaining that the Oscar is too long and it was so restrictive that it was embarrassing and even traumatic for some of the winners. It was so invigorating to see that Cuba Gooding Jr. instead of getting defeated by the music, actually triumphed over the music and made the music work for him in giving his speech!
