If you need a mix of polyphonic/monophonic samples in the same drum kit, you can also set polyphony for the individual sample on the Edit - Main page.

That's a good tip! Especially if you want drums on one bank and bass on another within the same instrument.

Great tip. But is there a way to change voices for each pad, I notice that, it affect all pads when the max voices is changed. Why I asked is, I would want a kick to cut itself without overlapping.

David, I love your videos but would love to see more help on how to change a drum groove sent to me from another studio in audio. They would like the drum clip converted to midi and sent back to them in midi. Is there a way to do this without doing the whole job manualy in Cubase 12 pro?

Someone please help me. Lately I've been experiencing a problem with quantize. It aligns to the closest grid line but it's always the one 1/16th before the bar. This is a strange problem that cropped up recently and I haven't been able to resolve it for sometime now. What am I missing?

Is going thru GA more efficient than dragging the 808 sample to a sample track, once we figure out the key using the tuner?

There are more features in Groove Agent, so you can manipulate the sample a bit more, but for pure efficiency, the Sample track is probably the way t go.
