Some of the newest features in Nuendo make me tempted to upgrade as a mixing engineer. Having more control over the end product, and needing less of a reason for third party plug-ins, is something that I largely like as someone in a much older version of Cubase (8.5). Having an option for bass control and frequency control is something that I'd love to utilize as well. With the surround sound capabilities of Nuendo, at some point I'd love to use this; however, my setup is not yet prepared for a mixing environment of that kind. I'm tempted on upgrading even if I can't utilize all features of this software yet.

You are welcome. Cubase and Nuendo have the same audio engine. Cleaner? Every DAW sounds clean.

So basically, Nuendo = Cubase+ As far as I'm aware, if you're composing/writing music, there's no reason to spend the extra $$ for Nuendo (some of the best composers including Hanz Zimmer use Cubase), but if you're also into the technical aspect of things like mixing, editing, using Avid Hardware (which is amazing bcuz I hate Pro Tools) or especially game audio implementation, some features in Nuendo could be invaluable. But also if you have Nuendo there's no reason to get Cubase, other than cheaper annual upgrades. It really comes down to what you're using it for.

Hi Charles, thank you very much. Some early Nuendo-only features went into Cubase. In the early years Cubase had less than 10 marker tracks, Direct-Offline-Processing and Audio-Alignment were showed first in Nuendo... But there is no garanty, that every Nuendo feature will move on to Cubase after a few years. I guess the upgrade cost are twice than at Cubase, nearly 50$ to 99%. Always worth it.

Hello! I'm not sure if I should invest in Nuendo or Cubase - I mainly do a lot of music production, I like to produce, compose, score, mix and design music of all genres. But I am also very interested in scoring for film, media and games, and therefore I wonder whether it should be better for me to invest in nuendo immediately or go for Cubase 11 - pro first and go for Nuendo later? Hello Thadnill, thanks for watching. When you compose, Cubase is perfect. You got everything: enough marker tracks, Plugins, video track, export, multichannel support (5.1). I use the Nuendo tools for post-production, Sounddesign.

Uma placa de som é necessária para uma boa qualidade. Caso contrário, você pode usar o microfone interno. Mas eu não aconselho isso. O som pode ser ouvido através da saída de fone de ouvido, se houver uma disponível.

@@timheinrichenglish8782Actually, on a Mac you have to setup the "External Headphone" output as an Aggregate device in order to use it in Cubase. Otherwise, it does not show as a selectable option in Studio Setup.

THANK YOU! This I pretty cool. I just wish that It wasn't so rushed. I would like to know more about the requirements for Dolby Atmos, Ambisonics, and really all of it. I mean Steinberg is AWESOME at including features. But for Nuendo, they #^&*ing suck regarding how to videos or orientations on ALL of the stuff in Nuendo! So many of us are BRAND NEW and jumped on the deal because of all of the savings. But there is NOWHERE to learn how to use the stuff, or really what most of it even is. :-( ...BUT, if it's Cubase, they'll talk about it in videos & tutorials HUNDREDS of times.

Yes both are very powerful and quality softwares that use same technology from Steinberg, there are some additional features in Nuendo(better for film production) as u see here but for most people they are not needed as Cubase is extremely powerful and capable on it's own.
