I put a lot of the music I made over the years in the talking parts of this video. Lot of random stuff!

3:00 if you go to the preferences in the edit you can tell cubase to not show you those adds Everytime you open the daw mine don't show anything because I did it but yeah is annoying not much people know you there's an option for it I recommend you to read all the preferences option because there's in my opinion alot of configurations you should do for making your experience more easy and comfortable

Nice Soundtrack. After watching your Cubase 13 fire-up, I can tell how fast the new motherboard is, wow. If I'm using 13, I start it & walk away to make a tea of coffee. Once it's up it's OK but just that 3 minute start-up is unavoidable. My VST2 count is about 305 & VST3 @ 56 but Cubase 5 & 10 don't struggle like that, only 11, 12 & 13. I keep meaning to switch off the VST Scan & see how long it takes to start, just haven't got round to it yet. I noticed towards the end you shut it down with Task Mangler coz it looked like it hung for a sec & then came back with the Safe Mode message. That's that stupid Hub slowing it down as it does what it does in the background. I was surprised that it even does it to a Super Computer. When I don't want to see the Hub poo or have it interfering, I just go Offline. What a joke how in the Window Drop Down Cubase Pro Hub is permanently Ticked On, click as much as you like, it stays On, the Germans always had a dry sense of humor. Overall though, I recon it ticked off a truckload of stuff on my wishlist, I'm sure the original version sitting on a 1.4 Mb Floppy in my Atari must be burning with envy.

Thank you! I am glad I am making use of those songs as they have been sitting for more than a decade. 361 VSTs? How do you even manage all those??? Even the stock Cubase ones are too much for me. I was recommended the Surge VST and it looks cool but have no idea when I'll have the time to try that out. I used to have a lot of 3rd party plugins (nowhere near your amount) and stopped using them due to stability issues. I really need to get back into the habit of turning off my internet, but I have been enjoying just jumping into things and not having clicks/pops. I didn't realize the hub stays on in the background. I am finding my cpu/gpu are great, but if you have the resources shared with other programs (like having Premiere Pro and VLC open) its head hurts for certain things. It seems backwards to me, but i'm not an engineer. I may just need more time to diagnose or maybe the programs are designed properly. Hope you and the animals you are taking care of are surviving the heat okay.

I'm going to do it today, a 2nd directory of stuff I hardly ever use & the primary for my every day carries. Today. Thanks for your concern re the heat, lots of electric fans, Frappe (iced coffee) & strategically placed hammocks under trees. The cats also have their own fans & get Milk Ice Cubes through the day. It definitely stifles the creative juices, in fact, it dries them up. Music-making in the early morning & evenings only. The aircon died after 10 years & I hadn't replaced it, going for fans in an attempt to climatize but I might have to invest in a small unit to make sure I make it home, we've had 5 older people on this island pass away due to the heat. Even the Power Company's generators are shutting down due to the heat so we have rotating-rostered 8 or 12 hour brown outs every day at the moment. I bought a 2nd generator 2 weeks ago to make sure the power in this house never dies. I draw the line at electricity & cigarettes, if we can't have those, then we are savages.

@@AA-ge4uj So glad to hear there are enough fans and cold milk for the kitties. It sounds like a hell of a time there right now. I lasted in 100 degree weather with only fans in LA, but it wasn't humid. The heat waves there didn't last very long either. I finally used the aircon near the end and said my gosh I should've been using it the whole time (my electricity bill was $70 and with AC it would've been $200-250 though). How much longer until this El Nino passes?

I saw a news report that implied it wasn't going to pass & only going to get worse especially for countries this close to the equator. We have hot in Australia, that's why all the bush fires every summer but it's a dry heat, it's the humidity here that kills me. Sweat never gets a chance to dry off. As soon as you step away from a fan, it's on. I was just finally doing that house keeping with my VST folder. Uninstalling the ones that were tested & I'll probably never use & then a 2nd folder for what I might use but not to be scanned & finally the EDC's. It became a mission an hour ago after I thought how sad my start-up time looked compared to yours.

@@AA-ge4uj That's frightening. I heard about everyone eventually moving away from the equator, but not El Nino constantly forever more. Were you in Australia when the whole aerosols destroying the ozone was happening? I think early 2000s. That is funny mine prompted you to clean it up. It's hard to go back once you have the speed! Cubase 3 to Cubase 5 was such a huge difference (and my new build at the time). What is an EDC?
