Cube Draft Cardlist

Hey man, I've made a cube myself and I love cubes in general, I wish ygo players would get more into the format like mtg players. I'd love love love to see a cube draft from multiple perspectives! There really aren't many videos of that type on youtube, at least in the way of yugioh (mtg's a different story, of course).

This looks so interesting! I just got me recenlty a MTG Cube, but I am originally a YuGiOh player. Can't wait for the next videos on this :)

I think the best way to make a cube (IMO) is to use all the cards sitting around you like that are generic but don't fit into a deck. Like fissure, dark hole, change of heart, etc.

thats the spirit im taking into this project, trying to fit in as many banned power cards as possible, while still supporting all of the cores used in the cube to some degree! I'm in my last 2 rounds of playtesting, after maybe 10 or so matches IRL i should have a solid enough list that ill call it "final" and update this video

i wouldnt say its THAT cut and dry, but how you build your deck definitely has to be in respect of that potential engine. This is an outdated cube, I've been working on a new list for 4 players max. Hard to get the proper testing in right now, so that's on hold indefinitely unfortunately. i dont have a good setup to upload with anyways

Keep up the great work! I would love to see some duels if you ever get the chance! I'm building my own YuGiOh Cube as well and its always great to see other people building their own! Its such an underutilized potential format. But really, keep up the good work and keep those videos coming!

Pretty cool stuff, I use to play from 2002 to 2015, then I switched over to mtg, so I'm very familiar with cube drafts. I'm building a yugioh cube but why copies of 2 ofs, instead of the traditional 1 ofs Also what's some cards you thought would of been good for draft but ended up being bad? Any mistakes you learned down the road?

ur better off just going with 1 ofs to add variety and nostalgia. no cards that need other cards (such as gravekeeper's spy). just generic good cards that work with themselves or are easy to use with other support. make sure u avoid floodgates like skill drain and decree. before u make the cube u want to decide what rules u want to follow. i suggest u just make a cube with no extra deck (due to cost and complication). there's a rule some people in cube use that makes it "All monsters are all types at all times" , but i personally dont use that. u can easily make a cube where that isnt needed. just make sure to avoid cards that rely on other cards too much.

I could've chosen to build a cube like that, but I've accepted the challenge to finding a balance with these flavor of card and synergy. I rebuild it every so often to get more testing in, it's an ongoing project

In Yugioh, I actually like the idea of more than one of specific cards. Like 3x Jar of Greed. Having 3x of normal monsters which will allow one ofs of cards like Painful Decision and Rescue Rabbit
