I have done a few tests with the QiYi Timer, it is far more durable than other timers and certainly more durable than your video suggests, if you replace the batteries it will be fine. My one has survived being thrown off a 35m cliff and floating in a river (after I replaced the batteries).

That is the one thing about the Qiyi timer, the batteries only work for a while until it has enough power to turn on the timer but not enough to start it, so the problem being, the timer takes up too much power/energy from the battery

Yo the timer did no break the same thing happened to my timer I removed the the batteries and put it back and it started working it's actually a defect if the batteries are slightly misplaced it Stops working and you have to remove and put the batteries again
