Cool to see you getting into clock! I have a few extra tips. Once you get use to memorizing 4 letters. I recommend learning the 6 letters version. The six letters version allows you to avoid needing to look at the distance between U to C before the flip AND minimize eye movement on the second side for the UR to DL corner, this drop my global from sub 4.8~ to roughly sub 4.1 in 2ish weeks. Also that’s some of the best improvement I’ve seen in a week for a little-to no experience clocker. Memo for letter 5 and 6 is both on the first/original side, U to C is memo for 5 and L to U is memo for 6th letter. Execute Num5 by replacing the current turn that you currently memorize before you flip. Execute number 6 for the peripheral vision corner, aka UR to DL corner in the second side.

Thanks for the tips, I'll look into it! Sometimes I glance at U to C but with audio I struggle with all the memo. Do you use all images for memo?
@jaidonlin_cI0nK
@jaidonlin_cI0nK Жыл бұрын
@@CubeMasterYT I still use audio. But since the good thing about this method is that the first 3 letters are all use on the first side, and the last 3 letters are all on the second side. (for both memo and execution) So I tend to audio it into two "pairs". But instead of forming a word I just do something like 1BC *pauses* 2DE. During execution I'm able to focus on 1BC (first audio "pair") and then after the flip i focus on 2DE (second audio "pair"). It's hard to explain but I'm sure you'll get it.

While base 7simul flip is fine, Jaidon Lin made a 6 number memo version that really helps with fludity (in case anyone wants to use this): 7simul flip (Bpaul version - revised) (Keep in mind if letters are capitalized you do memo on the front, and if lowercase do memo on back by doing an x2 rotation) M1: (R to D) + (l to ul) M2: (u to c) M3: (l to u) M4: (r to d) + (L to UL) M5: (U to C) M6: (L to U) Execution: ur: With the UL execute M1, and with UR wheel execute M2 L: With the UL wheel match D to R, and with the UR wheel execute M3 UL: with the UL wheel match C to either D or R, and with the UR wheel match the dr corner with either D or R Before x2, DR pin ur : Now do an x2 rotation, with the UL wheel do M4, and with the UR wheel do M5 L: with the UL wheel match D To R, and with the UR wheel execute M6 UL: with the UL wheel match C to R or D, and with the UR wheel match DR to R or D \ : now with both UL and UR wheels, match everything to 12 Revised by Jaidon Lin

You should practice something else you currently don’t like for a week like Redi Cube. I know it’s still an unofficial event, but I’d be curious to see if you also gain a greater appreciation for it. (You mentioned in your video about which events should become official and unofficial WCA that you don’t think it’s got enough depth for an official event)
