Hermitcraft 10: Dragons vs. Fireworks! (Ep.13)

The Rainbow strikes back! Welcome back everyone to Minecraft with Cub from the Hermitcraft Season 10 Server! Today we join the Glass collective and build 2 glass shops in the shopping district. Then we meet Xisuma to play our new minigame, "Pot Shot". Finally we fight the Ender Dragon using fireworks with hermits to open the End Gateways before returning to work on an Elevator inside the Fireworks Factory! I hope you enjoy!

Can I just say that Cub's marketing for the fireworks factory is so damn good. Like, setting up shows in peoples' bases, encouraging the prank potential with Hypno, arming Hotguy with an explosive crossbow, and gathering a buncha hermits for a firework battle against the dragon? I haven't seen so many fireworks used since crossbows were added!!!

Just wanted to give a HUGE thanks to the Hermits for putting the season 9 world on to the Minecraft Marketplace! I don't play on PC anymore, never thought I would be able to on any of your worlds on consoles. So thanks! And being a big fan of TFC....it was nice to tour his final build. Cub’s ender chest contents right at spawn is so nice! I’ve only really wandered around his tree basement so far. Even with broken restore, farm mobs missing and other conversion issues, still insanely cool to be IN that world. 🍻

I *knew* X would be amazing at Pot Shot. We got Pot Shot built on the CubScriber MC server, and what we learned is heavy metal guitarists have an extreme edge when it comes to this game - all that rapid fingertapping on the strings!

I am loving the factory decor. Got me all kinds of inspired with imagery of large vats of 'dyes' and ingredients with pipes leading into the large machine. A spill that has stained the floor and walls. Conveyor belts. Multi level movement of items. Test chambers. A glass walkway from the front foyer that looks into the factory. The CEO office that overlooks the whole operation. An evil lair.

10:50 - (X suggests pistons around pot to prevent people from starting early) You could also integrate an early-start sensor into the game : you're already reading the contents of the pot with a comparator, if the pot is not empty while the starting tones are playing, that player started early and so gets disqualified.

Hey, Cub, I had an idea for a mini game while watching this episode. There could be a roulette style game where a hermit enters a small chamber without armor and has to press a button that activates a dispenser that contains 8 sheers and one stack of premium fireworks.... last hermit that walks out alive wins the game. It's purely chance because of how dispensers behave.

Cub and Iskall should team up! Cub should build his second iteration of the fireworks shop in the sky so you need flight rockets to get to it, and Iskall should make a door on his that requires an exploding firework to open!!

I think another good way to exit the fireworks factory would be via some kind of explosive and colorful, elytra launcher out the top of the factory, as if you were a fireworks rocket being shot out of it.

I like how Cub makes it clear his main goal is fun. He could try hard so much of what he does; PvP, his minigame, sales. However, he is fine with giving crazy discounts to someone like scar, or clicking pretty slow and letting X win. Cub is just a chill and entertaining guy, and that’s an amazing vibe for a content creator.

hey cub, multishot doesnt actually hurt the player 3 times because of i frames, so whether one explosion or 3 goes off youll always take the 8-9 hearts with max stars. however what you could do is add piercing for pvp (not dragon fights lol) so you hit the player and then it explodes behind them

Interesting. It still helps with aim though, spreading out the damage area so you're more likely to hit a moving target. That was clear in the dragon flights!

I don't think piercing makes a difference with rockets, but multishot means a greater chance of one hitting.

@matthewparker9276 aww one of the wikis I checked said they'd be compatible but after looking at some others I think you're right. I know in the experimental combat update they're removing s so maybe one day multishot fireworks will be able to one-shot!

Funny how the only time I've ever seen someone play with their mouse sideways IRL, Etho style, is on an old game I forget the name of but it was 90% point n click n he held it sideways so that he could also comfortably do the bitterfly clickjng trick Xisuma just used. Somehow he managed to sync up his right index finger, left index finger, n left middle finger to get the fastest clicks I've ever seen. 😂

Pot Shot early start: is it possible to load arrows with knockback? also, could be cool use of the wind charge (whenever that is released) to blast the guy away if they click to early lol. like an early start punishment.

Xisuma uses the same technique I do. It's especially helpful when composting stuff manually and years of Osu! has made it extremely fast and reliable. We refer to that skill as "streaming."

catching up after months not watching any minecraft content, when you first explained the honeyblock elevator drop chute, I was thinking that I'd be making a direct drop chute separated from the main one. Lo and behold, the secret is the direct drop chute with such a cool exit door to get out from the building!

Cub, MR. Experiment. I had an idea/thought that I think you could help me with. What if? What if you gathered a gaggle of 10-20 allays and took them to the dessert, penned them up and gave each a sand block, then cover the dessert in TNT...you may see where I'm going....Set off the TNT and then release the Allays once it is safe. Would this be the fastest and lowest effort sand collection method? (you can pair this with a note block drop spot and a super smelter to completely automate glass)

Hi cub. You should sell an uppgrade to the postal service. So that every time a hermit gats mail a firework will go off every 10 min untill they check it .. Rent out the machinery and sell the Rockets... Or make a lifetime deal ..
