Is it possible to just use the 1st equation. Substitute it into the original equation then solve for A then substitute the A into the first equation to find B?....... I'm not sure I'm just asking ❤

You cant solve for a without the original equation. You have two unknowns variables so u are forced to created s simultaneous equation.In the above example the only reasonable point given to use is the x-int[6,0] (which u substitute in the original equation always) To created the second equation of ur simultaneous equation u use f’(x) since [6,0] is also a turning point
