Great job, Kyle. Way to top off your big year. Justin is a good dude with a good head on his shoulders. I’m glad tho that I wasn’t on the receiving end of that tongue lashing last season by him because when he gets angry he’s probably pretty fearsome.

It tells you how bad things were when captain feel good CC who never had a negative thing to say no matter how players did and kept playing the same lineup and batting order every day
@ricklasse4 күн бұрын
No matter who the Cubs promote for their offense, whether it’s Matt Shaw or Owen Caissie, or anyone else, there will definitely be a period of adjustment from AAA to the majors and fans will have to be patient. I think the Cubs are still in that phase with PCA. He’s had some fun moments, but, he still needs to work on his plate discipline…and that’s not a knock on him, at all….it’s just the way it is. From what I keep hearing, there’s a big leap between AAA and the majors, so some players need more time than others to catch up. I’m not sure if there’s room for Owen Caissie right now, unless there’s an injury. So, I don’t see a slot opening up for him, because I don’t see the Cubs trading Ian Happ or Seiya Suzuki.
@SetupManCubs4 күн бұрын
Huge gap. Caissie will get his shot. Someone will go down with a 2-4 week injury (just the nature of the game). He's gotta make the most of that window of opportunity Also, he took reps at 1B in ST last year.
@ricklasse4 күн бұрын
@ I have a feeling that the Cubs front office will be more patient with Caissie’s time when he gets to the majors, whenever that happens, than they were with Matt Mervis. And Caissie’s only 21, so there’s no need to rush him up.

40% of all teams make the playoffs each year... I sure hope we did not trade our most recent first round pick plus more just to hope to be average for a season!
@demarcogarcia53864 күн бұрын
his average is still the best player on this team the last 4 years
@SetupManCubs4 күн бұрын
I hear ya, but Theo would have done that trade too. Prospects are prospects. When you have a chance to get a superstar for mid MLB talent and a prospect, you do it

@@SetupManCubs not on a 1 year rental if you're too cheap to go all in that year. Richetts seem to fit that description unfortunately.
