Braves clinches Home-field advantage #1 Seed for the Whole Entire 2023 Postseason
@lawrencescott1048 Жыл бұрын
A nice sweeping of the Cubs by the Braves, A.J.Smith Shawver pitched a very good game for 3.1 innings and the funny thing about it for me is that was the first time seeing him throwing the ball in the high 90's and even hit 100mph, somehow that escaped me in his previous outings, and the Bravos clinched home field advantage throughout the post season, so with 3 games left in the regular season nothing to shoot for now but the team HR record needing 3 to tie and 4 to set the record, GO LOS BRAVOS!!!!!!!!!

Notes From the Game: + A.J. Smith-Shawver did a Relatively Good Job Tonight, but his early removal left me a bit concerned. He Finishes with 3 2/3 Innings of 1 Run, NO-Hit Ball, Walking 1 and Striking Out 2. Unfortunately, he gets a No Decision due to not making it through 5 Innings, Meaning he remains at 1-0, but his ERA did drop to 4.26. Nothing looked terrible, and the Run Allowed is easy to forgive. Hopefully his Early Removal wasn't due to Injury. + Bullpen did Good as well, Bending but never Breaking! 4 Pitchers combined to FINISH the Final 5 1/3 Innings, Allowing 2 Runs on 6 Hits, Walking 1 and Striking Out 8. KYLE WRIGHT gets his First Win of the Season in Relief, Pitching 2 1/3 Innings of 1 Run, 3 Hit Ball, Walking 1 and Striking Out 4. Rasiel Iglesias the his 32nd Save, Pitching a Clean 9th while recording 1 Strike Out. A Nice Night all around! ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 3 Runs, 6 Hits, 2 Walks, 10 Strike Outs, NO Home Runs Allowed. The Braves' Offense did all their Scoring Early, though finished with a 2-11 with Runners in Scoring Position and Leaving 6 Men on Base. + MATT OLSON WITH HISTORY OF HIS OWN ON HIS ONLY HIT OF THE NIGHT: A TWO-RUN SUPER MISSILE AROUND THE RIGHT-FIELD FOUL POLE! Olson Now owns the Franchise Record for RBIs in a Regular Season, as he stands in with a .281/.387/.992 Line with 54 Home Runs and 136 RBIs through 159 Games! + MONEY MIKES CASHES IN ON THE NIGHT! 1-4 with an RBI Double in the 2nd! Harris Holds onto a .290/.327/.802 Line with 18 Home Runs, 55 RBIs, and 20 Stolen Bases in 136 Games! + ACUNA KEEPS ON BUILDING THAT MVP RESUME! 1-3 with and RBI Single and.... A WHACKED BY PITCH?! Nevertheless, Acuna Stands Firm with a .336/.414/1.009 Line with 41 Home Runs, 105 RBIs, and 70 Stolen Bases through 156 Games! + ROSARIO EARNS AN RBI THE UNCONVENTIONAL WAY! Despite an 0-4 Night, He Records an RBI via a Javier Assad FIELDING FAILURE! Rosario Clings to a .254/.305/.758 Line with 21 Home Runs and 73 RBIs in 139 Games! + OTHER NOTABLES: Austin Riley had a 3-4 Night and Scored Twice; While Ozzie Albies, Marcell Ozuna, and Orlando Arcia each earned One Walk despite 0'fer Nights. The ONLY Brave to NOT get on Base at any point was Travis d'Arnaud, Who went 0-4 and Struck Out 3 Times. + SWEEP SUCESSFUL! STATEMENT MADE! *CHICAGO, YOU BETTED ON YOUR TEAM BEING BETTER THAN WHAT IT WAS AT THE ALL-STAR BREAK AND YOU FELL APART... AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME! I did NOT see a Team that was Playoff Worthy... I SAW A TEAM THAT INCINERATED ITSELF UNDER THE BRIGHTEST LIGHTS! To be honest, IT'S BEST YOU DON'T MAKE THE POSTSEASON; YOU WOULDN'T STAND A CHANCE AGAINST YOUR DIVISIONAL RIVAL OR DODGER BLUE!* + I at a loss for words.... THAT MEANS THE ATLANTA BRAVES HAVE CLINCHED *THE BEST RECORD IN THE MLB, MEANING WE HAVE HOME-FIELD ADVANTAGE FOR THE WHOLE PLAYOFFS!* This Team Continues to Amaze me with Every Game this Season....... AND I PRAY THIS SEASON WILL END WITH THE BLESSING OF THE WORLD SERIES TROPHY! What a Team! - ARE YOU SERIOUS?! The Mets Must've BD to the Umps to SUSPEND their Game with Miami. In addition, The Diamondbacks were DENIED their Chance to Clinch the 2nd WC Spot by... The White Sox? Ohhh, Former Brave TOUKI TOUISSANT was pitching.... Interesting! Still Arizona... You COULDN'T CLINCH against the WHITE SOX... And Now YOU have to Travel back to Chase Field to Face the CURRENT WORLD SERIES CHAMPION ASTROS... You only have to win ONE, Sure, BUT THEY'RE ALSO FIGHTING FOR A WILDCARD SLOT... YOU'D BETTER EARN IT, Or Memes will FLY about you. And.... The Padres are STILL Alive? Man, these Final 3 Days of the Regular Season are going to be INSANE... Hold Onto Your Hats Folks, we're gonna see who's Crying Tears of Joy... Or Tears of Tragedy. WHAT'S NEXT? It's a NIGHTMARE SCENARIO for the Chicago Cubs.... They Must Travel North to American Family Field, Home to their Divisional Rival and Current NL CENTRAL CHAMPION Milwaukee Brewers... AND FIGHT FOR THEIR LIVES FOR THREE GAMES. Kyle Hendricks will take the rubber in Game 1, Who has had an Inconsistent Year, and Appears to be continuing that trend in September, Going 1-1 and allowing 13 Runs (10 Earned) on 28 Hits in just 22 1/3 Innings of Work. He's also coming off an Unfortunate Outing against the Pirates, where he went 6 Innings, But Allowed 3 Runs (1 Earned) on 7 Hits. Meanwhile Colin Rea will be on the Hill for the Brew Crew, who's also had a Mixed Year, but is coming off a Flawless Relief appearance against the Cards on Tuesday, where he allowed 1 Hit Batter and Nothing Else while Striking Out 2. Can Hendricks and the Cubs Find ANY WAY to get back into the Win Column? Or Will Rea and the Brewers Showcase why THEY'RE the NL Central Champions while making Chicago Heartbeats Skyrocket further? We Will Find Out at 8:10 P.M. EDT / 7:10 P.M. CDT on Marquee Sports Network (Cubs), Bally Sports Wisconsin (Brewers), and MLB Network (Out-Of-Market ONLY)! WE MEET AGAIN, WASHINGTON. I know it's disappointing to be at 90 Losses again, but your team DOES have pieces that can give you a Brighter Tomorrow. I'm still stunned though at what's happened to Strasburg and Corbin... From Aces to either Retired or Shattered... Baseball's Cruelty strikes again. But I know you can turn those broken pieces into something better for the future... Let's just, have 3 Spirited Games this weekend, alright? It's the Washington Nationals... AND YOUR MLB-BEST ATLANTA BRAVES! Round 1 of 3 Between these Divisional Foes will take place under the lights of Truist Park. Trevor Williams will get the call for Washington, Who's been having a Very ROUGH September, going 0-2 and Allowing 18 Runs (17 Earned) on 25 Hits in just 10 1/3 Innings of Work. He's coming off a VERY SHORT 2 Inning Outing against Milwaukee, where he allowed 3 Runs on 5 Hits in 70 Pitches. Meanwhile, ALLAN WINANS will take up Battle Stations for the Braves, Who's Had 2 Respectable Outings for the Braves in September, Allowing just 4 Runs on 13 Hits in 11 1/3 Innings, Despite going 0-1. He looks for REVENGANCE against the Nationals, Who Touched him for 2 Runs on 7 Hits in 5 Innings on Sunday. Can WINANS and the Braves Keep the Winning Times Rolling in the FINAL Homestand? Or will Williams and Nationals put a dampener on the Good Times in Atlanta? We Will Find Out at 7:20 P.M. EDT on MASN2 (Nationals) and Bally Sports Southeast (Braves)! SoundFX09, Signing Out!
