Sister I think you don't have much exposure. Drinking is actually not bad like you think. We live in UK here everyone drinks with family members including mom, dad, sister, brother, grand children etc. 18+ are allowed to drink. But I have never seen anyone creating a mess. Every weekend they have a party at home, office etc., but they behave well and decent. Everyone have their own limit and control over how much they drink. Here everyone behave gentle even they drink in pub. But our country is different. People are addicted to drinks and they have no control over anything. That's the problem.
