These clocks are mechanical, so it is pretty much imposible for them all to go off at the exact same tame. regulating 40 cuckoos isn't easy.

The original plan was to have them all going at the exact same time and show just the clocks. When it became obvious in the trial run that it was going to #fail the guy recording decided it would be better if the store manager explained how good it was going to be and let the events unfold.
