There needs to be so many more cuddle cots ... There weren't any at Vanderbilt in TN. where I had my daughter Ruby. There is never enough time, but it would have given me a bit more w her. God bless this family for sharing their story with us❤️

Grieving is a complex process that allows no “do overs.” Just because something may seem different or unusual to someone doesn’t necessarily make it wrong for someone else. I personally believe the people that came up with this idea were very brave and courageous. If it helps the families, it should be an option. Interviews with them afterwards will determine whether it was something that was helpful for them. Hospitals and organizations would not be providing or raising all the funds necessary for these if there wasn’t a demand. 😓😓😓May these families find peace 🙏🏼❤️

I was so thankful for the two days that we got with our baby due to the cuddle cot, 18 days would’ve been wonderful.

Everybody knows the best for their condition if they can stay longer with baby why not it is their choice some people dont agree with that then they should not comment that yes it is expencive the choice is on parents if they can stay longer with the baby who are we to tell them it is not healthy for them

I agree completely and how can anyone say what they would do if they haven’t been through something. I cannot even imagine how hard it would be to hand your precious baby over even though you know you will have to soon enough. Maybe some don’t realize the sanctity of life and how precious the baby is to the family even in death.

This is a big no to the extended time, a cuddle cot is a lifesaver for grieving parents for a day or two, but no way is that healthy for anyone to have their deceased child at hospital/hospice or home being kept cold for eighteen days, I am not judging their grief just the logic behind it, and cant wrap my mind around the ones I have seen that take them home and then go out with them to visit, walks and the park.....no, baby is gone, let them go, and others will judge my comment and that is their right, but the life process is there for a reason and what is to gain by extending it for this amount of time.

Chris Fry Something like that would never happen here in the States. Family members would never be allowed to take the body of a deceased baby or child home with them, it's just not done. You get a long time with them at the hospital or hospice though. The next time you see them will be at the mortuary/funeral home. I can't even imagine how heartbreaking this must be. Burying one's children never feels right.

I disagree completely as everyone has different grief processes. I wouldn't keep my child's body at home for a prolonged period but I am not to judge someone who feels that's right for them and their grieving process. America is starting to change & its brilliant as it gives people and families more choice. I am very pro choice in both life and death. I'm hoping here in the UK we don't go backwards to taking away these choices. And YES I'm a deathling and a follower of the order of the good death.... and Caitlin 😊

@@szqsk8 Cuddle Cots do exist in the USA and Canada. There are ongoing fundraisers to obtain more of these devices. In most places you can take your baby home until funeral plans have be made.

@@szqsk8 I actually just watched a new report talking about making it possible in the US for parents to take the deceased infant home. So it may not be long before its approved.
