I'm interested in building; cue making. Here to see what it's going t take. Simple enough. I like the subtle craftsman tricks, sanding the ring while it's still supported, catching the ring with the hex key. This color combo is very attractive, and your finished work is beautiful. I enjoyed watching you work. Where is that Subscribe, aw yes there it is. click.

I have a 48 inch wood lathe and I am wondering what attachments I need to buy for cue turning. Benchmill maybe? Where to get one?

how do you get that glossy sheen on the cue?

clear coat. usually polyurethane , car finishes. seal first with good sanding sealer, sand with paper down to 600 grit, spray the cue with quality clear. after it's dry wet sand on a lathe with 2000-3000 grit wet sanding paper with lots of clean water from a spray bottle to prevent trash from scratching your finish. then polish with a good rubbing compound. I use 3m products.
