I am so glad that I saw you and Chuck and Bob and Harvey performing in 2015, I was quite in a trouble but I couldn't ever miss that concert for the life of me, and I didn't - and so that will be the only time i could see the four of you together, but there's been that one time and this proves again that nothing is granted on this earth, every day is unique and worth living and every occasion must not be missed in order not to be regretted. I look forward to see Fourplay again the next time you'll come to Italy. Peace and Love.

Heart warming. Had the honour off performing with Chuck in the mid 90's. I was drumming with Nelson Rangel with Mel Brown on bass. It was a highlight of my life. I hope to play with him again in heaven. I remember he pulled me off stage and had me play brushes on a newspaper at a table for some folks at the club. We connected musically him and I. He was smiling at me while we did this jazz standard, him on guitar and me on a news paper with brushes. Tearing up thinking about it. Thanks Chuck. Nelson told me he was happy with me backing him up. Positive feelings from Chuck makes me happy even after all this time. God bless Cuck and his family. Peace to all. William Tell Pinner III

It's been a few days since I discover all the beatiful CD that Chuck made in his career...To me before Chuck was just one of the members of Fourplay ..I listen to quite a few Jazz artists...and ...it was such a pleasure to hear in just 1 day of 5-6 whole albums made by Chuck !...Since the first note..many emotions...his music captured me straight away.... I know that Chuck left us just about 1 year ago...It was also so nice and heartbreaking to discover this video shared on Ytube by his wife Carmen & Chris and Lizzy....So.......emotional to see how they shared in public such intimate moments of their lives...Nothing much to add....JUst thanks to Chuck and his beautiful life and family...for all the music he made and left us....Music sometimes can mean little or so much for many people around the world....thanks again ..evrybody.....keep best music in your hearts...and meet y someday somewhere...AGAIN.....! Back in the 90s my dad got me hooked on contemporary jazz. The staples of my collection were fourplay, Russ freeman and the rippingtons, and Chuck Loeb among others. One night, in the early 00s, after a benefit concert, my dad got to sit and have cocktail and bs with Chuck Loeb. My dad said, they talked about many things one of which was my college radio show. ( I was the only kid doing a Smooth jazz show.) My dad said Chuck was intrigued by this and signed a copy of "in a heartbeat" with a note wishing me well with my radio show. I was over the moon to receive it. My dad told me about what a great guy he was. Rip Chuck Loeb. You touched so many with your music.

We lost a virtual giant of jazz guitar for his generation and a foundational builder of what we now call the "Smooth jazz" idiom and part of America's only true musical invention, one that's served to unify all sectors of the human species and connect with the spirits of so many from different backgrounds. That's what Chuck Loeb helped to create and whole there are thousands of world-class guitarists in this world, many who possess equal or even superior chops, only one in my mind could put that unique "NEW YORK" touch on anything he chose to play, a distinct and instantly recognizable flavor as either a lead instrument or in the background, you knew who it was, it was the man himself, making any song his own and having a great time with his audience as he did it....😏 That was what Chuck Loeb put on the musical table every time he opened his guitar case and plugged in. Thank you sir for the great work you put in and the wonderful collaborations with other great musicians, your legacy will live on for lifetimes to come, goodbye and job well done!👍👁️✨🎸🎶🌌😇

I studied with Chuck for two years at ArtistWorks. I never met him face to face but the videos he exchanged with me are treasured memories. He was a beautiful exponent of the guitar; a gifted teacher with a flawless technique. What I remember most though, was the courtesy and respect he afforded his pupils, revealing a true generosity of spirit. I'm not in the least embarrassed to say I cried when we lost him. It came as a shock as I was not aware he was ill. To put it as simply and as humbly as I can, I liked the world much better when Chuck Loeb was in it.

I have been quite familiar with musical artists like Chuch Loeb for a long time. As I approach my 65 birthday, I have become even more familiar with musical artists like Chuck Loeb. The sad part is that I did not follow these musicians more closely before their passing as I do now. This is true with guitarists like Jeff Beck, who I started following in the 80's. There are many other musicians who have passed who have left an incredible legacy. I only hope there are other people out there that enjoy their music as I continue to do. This video is an incredible tribute to Chuck and his family. Thank you for the music Chuck!

As for this video, it left me speechless & with a big lump in my throat... so well done!! The photographs captured a part of this life, that I was not aware of - his family, that obviously influenced the quality & richness of his music. His creative life, as well as the life of so many other human beings, so thoroughly prove to me, again & again, that we are here to create. We are at our best when we manifest beautiful vibrations, with whatever powers we have. (...that is enought...)

Thank you for your “Magic Fingers” for your "Simple Things" for your "...Music Inside" with your “Balance” and “Life Colors”: "When I'm With You", with your "Presence" I will never be alone.

Back during my college years, I used to listen to a lot of a local college radio station called KSPC. In the morning they would have a show dedicated to jazz/funk/etc, I remember driving to school, turning on the radio and hearing these awesome riffs being played. That song was 'Absynth Blues' by Metro, being a guitarist myself I promptly looked for that album and ordered it from Mitchel Forman along with the sheet music to the album Express. The solo to the song Express was so incredible to me, til this day I study the lines and enjoy it. I even remember adding Chuck on Facebook and telling him how much I loved that solo, which I got a very humble response of: "Thanks so much.... I got lucky on that one...." Music helped me a lot throughout my life, some of the worst days can become great days with the right music that hits your soul.I hope the family finds peace and comfort knowing that so many people enjoyed the music he created, RIP!
