As a guy in UK looking for longterm (for context), dating apps are pretty much unusable now, not worth the effort anymore. I think the best way to go is local communities and clubs. Also being rejected for 20 years and seeing women around me go for unbalanced men definitely makes me jaded, women have never been attracted to me no matter how much I try
