We bought this for our son who likes French Press, Does the kettle ever shut off after you press warm as instructed in video or do you have to unplug it.

Just fyi, pouring boiling water down the sink is not good for plastic pipes and their joints..

Just bought one on Friday. Sent to my wife back home. I’ll sent her this video for reference.

Seems as though the handle would require you to grip it hard to pour, since you can't put your thumb anywhere near the top. Not a very well thought out design.

Had this almost 7 years. Never had any issues with pouring or hand feel when pouring..

With daily heavy use after a short while the lettering wears off......Too expensive to have that happen. Returned it for a full refund.

ravenblackhawke Mine has got a little warn in time too. But, all still visable after 2 years of use.

Its been a while since you had this kettle, how do you like it so far? I'm planning to get one myself.
@EarthlingCooks8 жыл бұрын
+Huadong Feng Been using it daily for months now and it is awesome! Not a problem, boils water fast. It gets used at least twice, sometimes three times a day.
@anthonyromano85658 жыл бұрын
Mine worked fine for about two years and it went caput today. It never leaked water out the bottom though. There is a circuit board and heating element that is accessible but I doubt I could find parts to fix it. I used it daily. don't give a rats ass about the lettering but only the boil and start button has faded slightly.

Buyer beware! The water tastes off after boiling in this kettle. Both my coffee and tea tasted weird. Unfortunately bringing it back to Bed Bath and Beyond for a refund. Tasting what you drink is the real test for any kettle
@EarthlingCooks2 жыл бұрын
Did you run it first and clean it out? Probably should have done one "test cycle" to do a cleaning. All I know is, I've had this thing for almost 7 years now. It still works perfect and like new. Never had any bad taste from it.
@maryamabedy51582 жыл бұрын
How to turn it off in the middle of boiling process? like in case of regretting to make tea for example...
@EarthlingCooks2 жыл бұрын
I know you can. I'm not looking at it right now. But, I think if you just hit the same (or any of the temperature buttons) it will turn off and wait for you to click start again.
@DanielBrain7 жыл бұрын
If you boil the kettle on the max setting, then drop the temperature, does it notify you in some way that the temperature is higher than you are after?

You're welcome! Just an update if you were thinking of buying this. I still have it over 2 years later now! I actually used it 3 times today! I use it almost daily for coffee, tea, boiling water for oatmeal, or other uses. Still works like new, and looks like new!

Thanks for the great review. Question: when you lift the kettle off the base, is it safe to put it on any table (without the base)?
@AndrusVulkan7 жыл бұрын
Yes it is safe. It has plastic base. I have similar kettle CPK-18E (European model)

Ok, but what was the temperature of the water when you initiated the boil cycle? That would effect the time to boil.
@EarthlingCooks7 жыл бұрын
Just standard cold water out of tap. Not sure exact temperature.
@matthewplude38277 жыл бұрын
Well, "standard cold water out of tap" can vary *GREATLY* depending on where you are in the world. Whereas boiling (by and large) will be at the same temperature.

@@6636860 It's not about patience, lady. If he is quoting boil times, the starting temperature will impact the time it takes to boil. Your the one the girl that needs to stop whining.

Is the inside of the tea kettle, where the water goes, also stainless steel? Some tea kettles have plastic or some other material on the inside, that's why I ask. How easy is it to clean the inside?
@EarthlingCooks7 жыл бұрын

J'sVanLife. Agreed, but, then it would need batteries or something. At least this can easily be picked up and used without worrying about a cord in the way while pouring.
