Is this product compatible with PoolRx which uses a copper-based chemical to control algae?
@SPL3 жыл бұрын
Not exactly. You would use the CuLator first for 30 days to remove the metal ions. Then put the PoolRx in. Not in conjunction.

Have you had much success removing already existing metal stains in pool plaster with this product ?
@SPL3 жыл бұрын
Not old stains. Calcium tends to form on them and the only way to remove those is with an acid wash.

I've developed brown stains on the walls of a blue pebble tech salt pool. The walls and steps look brown. Any idea how to bring back the original blue color.

Maybe a drain and Acid wash is due. That should remove the metal stains.

Is there a chemical you can recommend to avoid draining pool

I’ll make this quick: I have an 18k fiberglass pool. My metals are at 0.3 - which of these do you recommend for me? Also Re POOL RX - do you recommend I use? I had a little algae upon pool opening but quickly got rid of it. Wondering if I should use upon pool closing? Thanks so much!!

Would say no to the PoolRX because of the high copper level. The Culator 4.0 and a sequestering agent will do the trick.

@@SPL thanks very much!! I ordered the 4.0 but can’t find the sequester agent… any particular brand?

@@SPL will “metal free” by natural chemistry be a good sequestration? If so how much should I put in my 18k pool? Thanks very much!!

Please help!! I have a 10,000 gallon plaster pool I have been going crazy spending hundreds of dollars already because I can’t get the pool clear it’s like a light cloudy green still. My skimmer basket sock has brown lots of brown I can hose it off and it’s white again . I have a well and I’ve put a lot of water after I tried floc . I never thought of it being an iron problem. Does this sound like iron ? I’m a fan I’ve been binge watching all your videos 😊 thank you

It could just be a chemistry and filtration issue. Maybe send me a photo of your pool and equipment and I will have a look. david@swimmingpoollearning.com

I have black metal stains on my vinyl in ground pool. Would culinator remove the stains? How about Ascorbic Acid? Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.
@SPL2 жыл бұрын
Yes, a Culator 4.0 in the pump basket along with 2-4 lbs of ascorbic acid.

Can you please check your notifications I asked a question about pool level in the pump install one..

Do I need to worry about removing metals if I have a vinyl lined above ground pool? Thanks
@SPL3 жыл бұрын
Usually no. Unless your tap water has a high metal content.

Does this get rid of the purple color ?
@SPL3 жыл бұрын
It can help but you will also need to do a partial drain to lower the CYA level.
