Dennis thinks that tritium breeding won't be a big deal. I used to think that fast neutrons were the deal breaker for fusion reactors. But after learning more about the ludicrous challenges of breeding substantial amounts of tritium, I think that tritium breeding will be an even bigger challenge. I would love for fusion to succeed, but I think that switching to thorium in fission reactors is likely to remain the most sure bet for the future.
