great video and i totally agree with your comments, but i have 2 styles, ones for breeding only and ones that are planted display tanks. 25 years of shrimping and i haven't cross my shrimp much, but have done it once, might get back into crossing, but usually i buy as pure as possible as i can. keep up the great work, i love it! can't wait for the next video!

Hey Ray, of course I agree for display tanks you want to do it differently, I only meant breeding setups. I would like to breed pure lines as well but I just don't want to buy shrimps and there are not many options available on the market here, so I'm trying to make some different varieties by mixing them. @@ShrimpMania If You are going for blue bolts in my opinion You should keep the line pure (what isn't that easy) and select for the colour. If You don't care about the pure bluebolt line and like to see different blue patterns You can keep mix :) All depends on the goal You are going for.

First of all, LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!! It’s amazing. I have a tank of CRS but I’m going to be experimenting with cross breeding soon. I noticed you manually turn on your aquarium lights. I have my lights on a wifi switch, and it’s amazing. You should do the same.

Thx for the video, it's motivating me, I recently lost 20 of my bluebolt and left to 2 bluebolt alive , and yes may be because my tank is heavily planted and I don't know where they die.. now I added 17 more to the tank, after 2 month with two bluebolt... Hope they survive now

I know whatever you do shrimp can die for no reason or the reason we only can guess. If I cant fix the problem I restart hole tank it only takes 7 weeks and the problem in most cases can last for much more than this. I hope your shrimps will be alright!

Yes i have worms in some of my tanks. They look like tiny planarias but they not. They are normal to have in the tank

Ive gotten the “boring tanks” remarks lol. I posted a pic somewhere and two people had a conversation in the comment section about how i was a lazy aquascaper 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ all of my tanks are minimalistic, a couple moss pads and the filter.

I think it comes with experience when you realised that ‘keep it simple’ is the best method for shrimp breeding. The people who commented probably fish keepers and aquascapers. Ive been like them before in the beginning:D

yea you are right they some blue steels there as well - if that's what you meant. I will cull them later once they grow up a bit and I'm planning to move females steels back to pintos. Thanks for an advise btw
