I rinse my hands before putting them in the tank, but I'd never wash them with soap first. I definitely think soaps or detergents would be far more harmful than anything you'd have on your hands.

You know my favorite is the auto top off video. 😂 These are great tips for everyone. I sometimes forget the washing hands. I tell myself if I need to do something quick or simple I will not put my hand in the tank. Ultimately the hands get wet. I need to stay in the habit no mater how big or small, way my hands. Lastly, what moss is that at 2:05? You mentioned java moss, but what is the other? I picked up some red moss. That looks so awesome, I love the different color compared to the typical green moss. Thanks for the great tips and reminders.

Hey Steve, happy to hear from you. Sometimes I also forgot to wash my hands and when I only touch the water and see oily film that's when I go to bathroom and wash them haha. The name of that moss is Fissidens fontanus "Phoenix Moss". Never saw red moss before I want to have it too! Please let me know the name of that moss so I can try to google it.

Thanks for the video! I started with neocaridina, got them to breed without using RO water, but have had much better success with RO/DI and shrimp salts. I really like caridina better, so I ordered some mixed caradina culls and haven't had much luck. That being said, I finally have some babies in my tank! About 7 tiny crystal black shrimp! I will continue watching to learn more :)

Good to hear that you finaly got success with carideans. It was the same for me when I started this hobby my caridinas die a lot, you have to get some experience first. Thanks for watching man!

hello, very good video Consult, what do you think of the oxygenation in the shrimp? Would it be a good idea to add an air diffuser stone to the shrimp? Thank you very much in advance, your videos have become a great help for this aquatic world, since here in Chile there is not much information about it and the videos in Spanish are very uninformative, a greeting and a big hug.
@ShrimpMania3 жыл бұрын
Hey, thank you for kind words. Im very happy to hear that my videos are actually helping people. Good oxygenation is definitely great for shrimp especially in warmer water. I normally use two filters in my tanks - sponge and ugf. They both running with air stones so i have plenty of oxygenation. If you dont have air driven filters than its good thing to add an air stone to your shrimp tank.

@@ShrimpMania Great, thank you very much, at the moment I use the same filters that you recommended in your videos and so far everything is perfect. I just wanted to make sure if it was necessary to add extra oxygenation, because summer begins in a few days and it brings a lot of heat. Thanks again for your advice, a greeting and I look forward to a new video of yours.
