Hello. Sir, you are correct on how you pronounce Culloden. I've lived here my entire life. Animals do weird things here. There's a lot of hunters around during this time, so whatever was dead was nearby. I'm glad you came through and experienced the peace of our little town. Hope you come back to visit our little deli, and we believe in attending church here😊.

That “gnome” house was my grandparents gas station over 60 years ago. Culloden Ga was on one of the main thoroughfares to the beaches. That was before I-75 was built. Traffic was bumper to bumper often. My grandfather was to be a deputy for Monroe Co. He and my grandmother picked peaches for the peach stand at the Hilltop where the store sits at the intersection of 341and 74. My great grandmother lived in a house down that street where the Blalock sign sits. Her home was the original telephone switchboard building iirc. The building at the corner where the Blalock sign is 😂as the original post office

@@Crazytraveladdicts, Culloden was a thriving metropolis at one time. Multiple banks and colleges. Hard to believe I know, a proud town that I am proud to call my hometown. Sad that you didn’t get a chance to meet my grandmother. She lived at one of the homes you showed. She lived there until 2015 , she was 102. She mowed her own yards until she was 99. She was known as the peach lady. If you research, you will find newspaper articles when she reached 100. One of the smaller TV stations came down in the 93-94 era and did a video interview. I pay a pretty penny if I could ever get a copy

I lived just south of Culloden for 24 years (1974-1999). Your video is good but one huge bit of history you missed in your video is that last church you went by, Culloden Methodist Church, (the brick one) is one of the oldest Methodist churches in Ga. “Records indicate that a congregation was organized here in 1802, making it one of the oldest Methodist churches in Georgia. A church was erected that year, however it burned before they could use it. The second church was built of brick in 1809. In 1832, the second church building was replaced by a two-story brick structure. The bricks for this building were hauled from Savannah by an ox cart.” And sir you pronounced name of the town correctly; however, in your title screen the spelling is incorrect. There is so much history in a lot of the smaller towns of Georgia and Culloden is rich in its history.
