Jordy, hats off to you for providing this level of content for us,”The LSU fan base and supporters, we just love to be able to see the progression of the program now, not have to wait till September. So, a one on one with BK, that’s good stuff. Make no mistake though, although BK has done a phenomenal job, great hire when most of the donors were angry for not signing a Lincoln Riley, Scott Woodward hired the man he felt was to be the next great coach at LSU. The Stakes couldn't be Higher For AD Scot Woodworth, and LSU Head Football Coach Brian Kelly. LSU Tiger Stadium Looking back on the History of LSU college football season year after year for as long as I can remember fits right in with Dandy Don's 100 days until LSU plays Florida State and what is at stake. In the Fall of the 1957 LSU College Football season around Baton Rouge, Louisiana, The LSU board of supervisors had already hired Paul Dietzel, LSU head College football Coach, along with athletic Director James Corbett. Little did the LSU football fans know what a leap into national attention LSU was about to venture into. Before these two men, LSU Alumni were big-money donors, and Louisiana Governors controlled the political pulse of the LSU football program. Paul Dietzel put in a new football system, cleaned house, and signed the best athlete’s the result was a National Championship. If you were in the “Good Old Boys” LSU football club recruiting and overseeing the ability of the LSU Head coach and players basely ignored the LSU's football fans' ambitions. So forget about going national like USC, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Penn State. LSU's self-LSU football Program interest would remain a big fish in a small fish bowl club. After head football Coach Paul Dietzel and AD James Corbett left the LSU football program, “The Good Old Boy’s” spotlight fell on the newly hired head college football Coach Charlie McClendon's tenure. Then AD Joe Dean hires Nick Saban repeating much like before the new system and athletes, National Champs. Les Miles is a whole different story, I really don’t want to repeat it. Now we have AD Scott Woodruff and hiring Coach Brian Kelly today. My feeling is we are witnessing the process again. He has cleaned house putting a new system, hired coaches, and staff, recruited athletes, and will have the same results. However, Coach Kelly gets no respect from the National Press. 11:30 Although I really enjoyed this interview and everything I heard, I did not like this part from BK. Depending too much on analytics is a bad thing in my opinion. I wish they would go more on gut feeling. Yes it worked against Bama, but it did not work against Tennessee and he admitted they depended too much on it for that game.
